St. Petersburg Pelicans

Following the same layout as their parent club (MIA) The Pelicans are embracing the elements of the St. Petersburg flag depicting a pelican in their AAA branding. Its worth noting the Pelicans have dropped the lightning bolt imagery from their team.

Would love all the help I can get - I am one for having the team name tie into the location some how though :P

And glad you like the LA design. I am happy with it!
Oh trust me, I'm the same way, I wanted all my team names to make sense. I should have some free time this week so I'll help with the team names in that I'll offer suggestions, if you like them...great, if not... maybe they'll spark an idea

Awesome, thanks! I appreciate it. I just don't want to get burned out before I even start playing lol. I am weird though and I like creating all my own things instead of snagging stuff thats already available :P

If I may request one thing - If you do offer up some suggestions if you don't mind including a little sentence on why you suggested what you did.

crap, i went to download some of the logos and unis but i didn't realize that it was just a big jpg

My best advice to you is to not try and make every logo and uniform perfect before you start. Your league will come to life as you continue to improve everything. Take the Reign, for example. Your early league history would include them, but the fans never click with the Reign name. Once you introduce the Stars, fan interest spikes and a franchise is re-vitalized.

It also gives you league a sense of history when you are looking at the HOF, for example, and see players in uniforms of old.

First up.. Spokane

Spokane Lilacs - It is called the Lilac City
Spokane Perfects - City motto is Near Nature, Near Perfect
Spokane Suns - The Salishan People (the American Indians of the area) call themselves the children of the sun
Spokane Falls - This was the original name of the city in the late 1800's

I should probably upload all of ABA/Majors ones so you as well as anyone else can use them. I was going to do just a huge download link with Majors/AAA/AA/A but I think league specific downloads would be good (I can release a mega pack after too)

Ahh thats a good point, I should totally do that - that way some history can be built and what not. I actually like that idea. At minimum I need to have the minor league nicknames so I can enter all those in; even if I don't have jerseys and logos right off the bat! Good call sir!

I am going to start them now - I like the Perfects; Lilacs is cool but I already have the "Wescester Hearts" we don't want to many manly men getting offended with these team names

Spokane Perfects

Named the Perfects after the motto of Spokane - "Near Nature, Near Perfect". The follow very similar styling to their parent club the Seattle Metros, however in their primary logo feathers replace the space needle to honor the Salishan People that once occupied this land.

thanks for the upload! are you not releasing the secondary logos? none of the folders have them. Would it also be possible to get all the alternate and scrapped work as well? You have done amazing work so far and these sets will really breathe some life into my league.

Crap, didn't think of that. I will add the secondary logos and re-upload the zip file! As far as alternate/scrap work what are you referring too? Both Chicago Fire/Flames should be in the Chicago folder. Both Wave with black and without should be in the San Diego folder, and both LA Reign and Stars should be in the LA folder, both OKC Tatankas double blue/black & gold should be in the OKC folder. If there is something specific you're looking for that I didn't just mention or I didn't add to the zip let me know!

next up Sacramento

Sacramento Sacs - City nickname is Sacs, the Sac or Sactown
Sacramento Tomatoes - A fun name as people sometimes call Sacramento "Sack o tomatoes"
Sacramento River Dogs - The city is called River City
Sacramento Centrals - It is the captial of California, it's somewhat centrally located in the state and during the Gold Rush it was a terminus for riverboats, wagon trains, stage coaches and telegraphs
Sacramento Suns - It is California after all
Sacramento Acorns or Sacramento Oaks - Oak tress are prevalent in the area

Hopefully some of these will spark an idea for you

Sacremento Sacs is cool, but I'd like to see them called Northern California Sacs or something like that

Suns would be great but I think there's also another team called suns. I would also like the team to pay homage to Sac's gold rush history

So I really like the Gold rush idea but if im following the color scheme of the parent club that makes it hard to do using greens and teals. I also like instead of Suns I could do Sacremento Heat. Or if I break away from following the color scheme of the parent clubs. Hmm...

Link updated in the main post with the new zip file. All ABA Majors teams now have primary logo, secondary logo, and cap logos to use in OOTP. Also made sure each version of all teams created have logos for both color schemes or designs if I switched them. (Examples: Detroit, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Oklahoma City.)
