I'm currently working on a UTBA title belt. I'll post it when finished (about 2 hours).

Tosti just joined and claimed our final 16th spot.
The league is now full. We just need to get those rosters in and we can get this thing started. I need to get Romy's roster sent out like I said I would also.
Welcome aboard Tosti.

Just updated the rules with some add-ons.
The complete rules can be found on page 3, post #50.

Draft Pool
1)Boxers released from the team will be added to the draft pool.
New boxers will be randomly added to the draft pool at the end of each season.

2) The order in which teams will draft(straight draft); the team with the worst point total at the end of a season will have the first pick, the team with the 2nd worst point total will have second pick…..and so on.

Individual Rankings:
Fighters in both the Gold & Silver division will be ranked together

Referees & Judges:
Both will be selected by random
A)Scoring:
10 point must
Tech.Draw through 5 rounds/scorecard after 5
Only the Referee can stop the bout
3 Judges will score
No 3 knockdown rule
No standing 8 count

This one we need to decide on as a group.
All fighters will fight a minimum of 14 bouts per year. If they are involved in the Team Championship Match, 16 bouts. If they are in the TCM plus win an individual tournament, they will have fought 20 bouts in one season.

Fighters will age as follows:
The aging option in the game will be used and all fighters will start
at the beginning setting.
Aging range:
move to pre-prime...... TBA
move to prime.......... TBA
move to post-prime..... TBA
move to end............ TBA
move to retired........TBA

Hi all. Thanks for the welcome guys.

Although I won't be around much over the next couple of months, Sal has kindly offered to help out.

My team name will be '****ney Crusaders'

No. 64

Thanks

PS. I'll have The Royal Albert Hall as a home stadium.

I will post my pic for it later.

Assuming we want to have a max of 15 year careers, we'd have to have 15x16=240 boxing matches so on the high end of things it would have to be 40/50/65/50/35 and on the low end maybe 5 year careers 16x5=80 making that 10/20/25/15/10

So my suggestion would be
move to pre-prime 10/40
move to prime 20/50
move to post prime 25/65
move to end 15/50
move to retired 10/35

I guess I would just include individual championships as additional wear and tear. At the worst a fighter would have 80 fights and retire after 4 seasons, that is very doubtful to happen. A more likely scenario is a fighter gets around 160 fights(7-10 years). Best case scenario is a fighter gets 240 fights(13-15 seasons). I think it seems pretty realistic.

The only other thing I can think of is to make 1 boxing season = 2 years. This way we can have the boxers have a more "normalized career" from 40-120 fights over 4-15 years instead of 80-240 over 4-15 years.

Sal, I've done my roster and I'll pm it to you later as I've just got in from work and I'm going straight out again. I'm cool with just picking retired fighters.

Home venue: Ricoh Arena. Coventry City Football Clubs home ground, just hosted Bon Jovi and Red Hot Chilli Peppers concerts and an absolutely massive place. Would make a great boxing arena [in the summer].

I wasnt sure if anyone seen this!

I was thinking, maybe a rule could be included so a boxer cant retire during the team season. I can just imagine getting 10 years in this and have my #1 HW retire in week 12 of a tight race.

Two thoughts:

1) Let's set a deadline for rosters (say, midnight 07/06) and slip SAL into a slot if anyone can't get a roster together by then.

2) We should plan now for how or if we can expand for season two. There may be more that take an interest after this starts and I would like to see Scot in this sooner rather than later.

I figured if a fighter moves to retired during a season, I'll manually adjust him back to end for the remainder of that season and retire him when the season is over.

1.) I agree with this, I sent out 4 pms last night, hoping they get this is tonight.(Ian has already responded)

2.)I get the impression Scot would just as soon JUST be the commish he is more then welcome to tell me I am wrong. My opinion is the max we expand each year is two teams. Just so we dont put too many things in disaray. Giving the expansion teams the same rules that we had when picking our initial roster.
