He needs work and he'll get more as a starter than as a reliever who occasionally gets in games.

On the plus side Frasor's looked ok in 2 innings for Syracuse. Small sample but hopefully he turns it around.
Couldn't agree with ya more and don't know what the thinking is behind it. Maybe since he'd be in the bullpen in the Majors, they wanted to get him a bit more accustomed to it, instead of having to switch him back and forth between the pen and the rotation.

It was nerves. I'm sure he'll be much better tonight.

I'm amazed with how well Lilly is doing. He is pitching great now!

He'd do better than that guy who pitched in the ninth last night.

Let's pretend last night didn't happen.

TONIGHT: Halladay vs Burnett

Should be fun!

...Man, first Burnett refuses to pitch for us because of minor injuries, now he's pitching AGAINST us? What a waste of money.

Oh man, what a save for Ryan. That was an awesome way to close out the game.

I don't understand why Gibbons brought McGowan in there in the 8th. Try playing him in some less pressure filled situations before you throw him in in the 8th inning of a game where you're winning 6-5, and the opposition has the tying run at 2nd base with no outs.

Other than Ryan, was there really a better alternative? Especially with Towers going tommorow. He could have left Speier in, but other than that it's not like the rest of the bullpen is pitching very well.

Nice win today against Boston. Loved how BJ Ryan ignored all the defensive foolishness behind him and got the job done

Good to see he's just as useful for the other team as he was for us.

Two games in a row that the Jays have beaten the Sox with AJ Beckett on the mound.

Hinske actually made a great play in the field, especially considering it was his first inning at 1B all season (I think).

BJ's been stupendous. He is their best closer since the Ward/Henke days. I don't count Billy Koch.

Yeah I kind of realized that later on. We didn't have many other choices.

We've played the Red Sox well all year, so hopefully Towers can have a DECENT start for once this year, and we can attempt for the sweep.

I'd be happy if Towers lasted 4 innings with less than 6 earned runs..... Isn't that now considered a quality start for him?

Towers makes me long for the good old FOUR MAN ROTATION days.

He's even worse than Joey Hamilton was in his stint with the Jays. Or Luke Prokopec.

Good 5-run first inning for Towers. That's always nice to see.

Ahhhh!!! They can't possibly let him make his next start!!

0-6 is unnacceptable, if he were even 2-4 we'd be in 1st. Cripes we're 5-3 against Boston, guess who lost all those games??

Throw Walker, Downs or try one of the other AAA guys. They can't possibly be worse.
