Marshal made a little mistake there, should be two outs if he hustled to first, but I understand, he went to the ball first then thought Walker would make the play, but Walker is no Lee. Tie goes to the runner on the close play though.

Anyhow, I hope we can get out of this inning as the Cubs offense cannot be counted on to score another run tonight.

Yes, this is definitely major suckage.

But, honestly, what did you expect?

Cubs called up Ryan "The Riot" Theriot today.

Hopefully they send Neifi down.

Chances of Neifi being sent down are slim to none. Not uh, no way, no how! Not with Baker around, anyways. I really wish that would happen.

We also need to start thinking about the players of the future. Pie has been playing pretty well at AAA, along with this guy named Buck Coats, he's battin' .362 right now. Not too shabby. I don't know much about him, should I?

Bobbie Brownlie sucks. He got rocked in AAA and got moved down to AA, so we won't be seeing him anytime soon.

I don't know. I guess it's just time to let the crappy team play and go about 30 games under .500 for the rest of the year. Yay.

Take a look. I haven't seen him play at all, but I know he was drafted as a 2b/SS, and has been playing some OF recently from what I've seen. He'll be a 6 year minor league FA if he's not added to the 40 man this fall, so I assume we'll see him sometime next year. He spent last year at AA. His history suggests high average/low power, so I'm wondering why they moved him to OF.

edit: his defense sucks in the infield, hence the move to CF. He's got a little speed and is a lefty bat. We've no need for him this year and a full year at AAA would be good for him.

He's 23, so he's on the old side to drastically change his output.

I'm guessing he'd be a valuable bench guy...to replace Neifi. Because after this year, Baker is gone and he'll take his pet SS with him. I hope.

Yeah, he sucked when we drafted him.

Coats is just an organizational soldier who had little value as a middle infielder and none as an outfielder. No power and he hasn't shown patience since he was 21 in low A ball.

Undoubtably he'll push Matt Murton to the bench in two months.

Yuck. I read a recent article about K-K-K-K-Korey and he is still spouting the same crap about how he's not going to change his game. Yes, that's worked out sooo well so far. I'd keep it up too.

Sounds like Sean Burroughs as well (although his problem is that he is too patient and refuses to drive the ball, the exact opposite of Korey). I believe they were from the same draft IIRC in a rather ironic twist.

Did you catch his "highlight" the other day? WHen the left fielder killed himself against the wall, Korey had like 28 seconds to tag up at first, and still got doubled off.

He went to the Dusty Baker/Wendel Kim school of baserunning.

Speaking of Sean Burroughs, is my memory wrong or didn't he appear on the Letterman show after his team won the Little League World Series?

Yeah. He was literally like two steps away from first at one point too. He kept looking around like an idiot..

I still like the kid though.

"Message is clear: Cubs woeful"

Read it and weep. The Cubs suck even worse than you can imagine.

We get the point. Why don't you just STFU about the Cubs.

It's painful enough without you rubbing it into people's faces.

Up next: Should they fire Dusty?
