Actually, you could shorten it to "The" and get away with it with that name.

I have a starting pitcher in my league named Adalberto Orta. Although that doesn't look funny at first, every time it is his turn in the rotation the league schedule screen has "A. Orta" listed as the starting pitcher. I nicknamed him "The Heart".
