When it comes to front office personnel, have President of Baseball Operations as well as the General Manager. Jed Hoyer got promoted to the President of Baseball Ops and the Cubs technically don't have a GM right now (sounds like they will hire someone soon). Have the option to have both, just hire a GM, or just have a President of Baseball Ops.

More positions are fine but what do these positions do? Someone makes the decisions on hiring and firing personnel and so on and whatever that person is called IRL they’re the GM in the game. If that’s more than one person, we’d need a real breakdown of who handles what duties and if this is far reaching enough that it ought to be a part of OOTP.

There used to be multiple scouts a la FM but that was nixed because it was too busy. Personally I’d rather bring scouting units back than have several sub-GM type positions but that’s me. The point here though is, what does this actually add outside of making the mastheads look slightly more like (modern) baseball?

All I have are a couple of cosmetic issues.

When I manage my own minor league teams and move some players around between my minor teams, jersey numbers are automatically changed if the number is already taken. This does not happen however if the CPU manages the minor league promotions/demotions/signings. You end up getting a roster with twelve players all wearing number 4 and other such nonsense. Kinda odd.

As far as facegens go, maybe some new facial hair could be added, like bigger bushier playoff style beards? Frankly this sorta thing should be in FHM as well.

Player to be named later in trades would be cool.

Would love pitchers to throw a slurve.

Also, cosmetically:

"Plantar fasciitis" is the correct spelling (spelled wrong in game).

"Playoff berth" is the correct spelling (one auto news article calls it a playoff "birth").

Also second the president of baseball ops position. Might work better as well in lieu of the GM/assistant GM situation for human managers when no CPU teams get to hire assistant GMs.

PTBNL would also be great.

And updated ratings standards for 2-way guys. They seem not to be adjusted for total performance, just on each side of the ball.

Lastly, just in general: pitching ratings to line up on a similar scale to hitters? Too often you find 5-star, 80/80 hitters but pitchers are often in the 50-60 POT camp at most. Elite should mean elite, not a relative rating.

I'd like to see some sort of world wide power ranking of every team in the game. Maybe a top 50 list of so?

Yes. I’d love too see overall ratings if a team. Give them a rating out of 100 or something

Please add HR% as a pitching statistic.

Currently only HR/9 is available, though K% and BB% are available as pitching stats.

Please add a composite line score to the playoff series recap screen, and the ability to choose our own playoff series MVPs

When a batter comes up later in the game it would be great to see how they've done in previous at bats. Right now maybe the PBP will tell you but not all the time. Games should try and replicate viewing a game on tv as much as possible. Heck maybe even some tweets about the game like in real life. Radio is dead. Quit trying to imitate it.

My hope for OOTP23 is that when you make BB cards for the whole team, I would like to be able to pick what file I want to use. If the program uses what card file it uses but it's not want you want, then you have to do each player manually to get the card you want to use. In short, when you pick make cards for the whole team, I would like to be able to tell the program which card template to use. Thank you.

I would love it if OOTP23 had some form of weekly newspaper that served as a recap of each week(Monday - Sunday). There could be reports detailing the weeks major transactions. There could be a weekly who's hot and who's not report. A report listing the weeks significant injuries. A report listing multi home run games, multi hit games, grand slams. Pitchers that had big strike out games or low hit games. Detail milestones reached. I would love it to show the current standings with each teams record for that weeks games. There are so many things a report like this could display. If any of the folks creating OOTP have an old copy of the game Puresim Baseball the blueprint for this type of report can be found there.

Historical game wish

Please introduce a simple way for us to erase all history/stats.

If I create 1945 and erase all stats. Joe DiMaggio should not return in 1946 with all his career stats. He should either not return, or he should enter the game with zero stats/history.

If I create 1921 and erase all stats, Johnny Evers should not show up in 1922 with 16 years worth of stats from 1902-1917. He should either show up with zero stats/history or not show up at all.

If this can't be done, how about just giving us the option to start in 1901 with zero prior history?

Please add some sort of functionality for online leagues so that a commissioner can assure the members of the league that no changes have been made to the game file that would advantage his own team.

Either some sort of way to tie the hands of the commissioner so that he cannot edit the underlying true ratings of players, or some sort of "black box" that permanently records every change made to the game file in commissioner mode.

At the very least, you might enable "Challenge Mode" for online leagues. Though that wouldn't be the ideal solution, obviously.

Separating the financial details from the ratings into different tabs in the player "Edit" window would also be appreciated. I'd prefer not to have to scroll past the things I shouldn't be seeing in order to simply fix a player contract or remove an extension due to our in-house league rules.

Suggestion: End Spring Training Games after X innings.

Please include a game option to end Spring Training games after X innings - and avoid long extra inning games.

Yes! Spring Training ties are acceptable. I had the mother of all Spring games, the last one, day before Opening Day, tied deep into extra innings. Neither team wanted to waste any more pitchers. No way to call the game though. I was using position players to pitch for several innings. Had already made roster cuts to 25, so also running out of position players to, uh, play positions. One poor guy went from catcher to pitcher back to catcher. I doubt even “Double Duty” Radcliffe ever did that. (He did pitch one game of a DH and catch the other….)

It may have already been mention before but how about multiple computer monitor support. Would definitely help declutter 3d game screen.

Also make it so a player gains experience whenever they enter the game not just the starters.

Did you guys have the "start runner on second" option set for ST? Not as foolproof as a settng but I would think this would normally get a game over fairly quickly, of course there are always exceptions. If that doesn't get the game over in a reasonable time you could always intentionally walk 4 batters and, game over Do it with a position player if it makes you feel better.

Finally why would you cut down to 25 during ST at any time? There is absolutely no reason to do this. It can't help your team in any way but... it can hurt it.

At some point I just start intentionally walking in runs. I don’t need to know if my second baseman can pitch his way out of jams haha.

I'd like this option for all games!

It might cause some issues with standings and the AI interpretation of standings, however.
