Neither starter pitched especially well but when it was time for the bullpens, the Yankees shut the Blue Jays down while the Toronto relief staff was not so effective.

Yankees win 9-5. That is five straight losses for the Jays.

Jose Bautista, Brett Lawrie and Tyler Moore all went deep for the Jays.

WP - Mickey Storey (2-1)
Save - Boone Logan (2)
LP - Tim Dillard (1-1)

Record - 37-32

Toronto is now 2 games behind the Red Sox but still have the second Wild Card spot, .5 ahead of the Rays.

WP - Aaron Crow (4-2)
Save - Rex Brothers (23)
LP - Justin Verlander (6-6)

Record - 41-36

Andy McGuire, the Blue Jays top draft pick in 2013, is out with a concussion and is expected to miss 4-5 months.

He has been playing well (OPS+ of 111) for the Single A Lansing Lugnuts.
