A (presumably) fairly simple thing that I would find very awesome would be the ability to sort players by their personality ratings. It would make it so much easier to find 18-19yo free agents who got released but might have a shot at doing something with their 95 work ethic. It could be just another view like batting ratings/batting potentials, but not being able to sort by peripherals makes it harder for me to find guys with a higher likelihood of "making it".

Team stats sortable, viewable by year, and aggregate "career" stats for teams. I want an easy way to see how my teams rank for, say, stolen bases, from year to year, historically. Etc.

Also, more keyboard shortcuts. On the roster screens I'd like a currently selected player, with arrow keys moving that selection up and down and keystrokes to release, assign to a certain roster group, etc. I don't want to have to do so much clicking to release a large number of players from my minor leagues.

I'm talking about Relocation by the Computer GM meaning he can't get a new Stadium/Dome built or if he sells the team and the new Owner want's to relocate the team they can.
Fights,Brawls,Ejections and Suspensions?
Team Reports Page replace Top Prospects Page?
Unsigned Prospects Page?
Have a certain date to sign the Draft Pick by if past has to reenter next years Draft?
Unretirements?
Inter league play all year round?
The Computer adding new teams to you League automatically?

One thing I really really really miss is the scouting reports that actually had words. You know, like "Joe Blow has a great eye and has good pop in his bat. Just dont expect more than 15 HR's in a year though". That may not be exactly what one used to say, but something like that. I know it was a part of OOTP4, but I think it may have gone bye-bye with version 5. It just makes a player more human to me, instead of opening a player profile and just seeing numbers ala a spreadsheet. I really miss that.

I would like to see the name sets tied to Nations also. This way if I create a fictional nation, I can just add to the names list instead of having a predetermined ethnic names set to chose from. The nations txt file could have an additional field called nameset and have a 0 or 1 and with a 1 it is required to use the nations ID rather than the ethnic ID. This would also be nice for those that want era based named sets for historic/fictional leagues.

Able to watch AI vs AI teams play.

Right now you can only sim only for AI vs AI teams on the schedule and watch or sim only human team vs AI team.

Also the ability to watch any sim games for online leagues after you get the league file back from your online league.

Me too!!

I forgot to include this on my list, only remembering after I posted it. I'm glad someone else mentioned it!

And btw, I'm pretty sure it was still in 6.5, so we can add that to the litany of cool things that got scrapped in '06 and ought to be re-implemented.

I miss the option from V6.5 and earlier to have the sim stop when a pitcher was throwing a no hitter into the ninth inninng. I believe there were also options to automatically stop the sim for 15+ k's, 3+ hr's, and 5+ hits.

Have the game save retired players html pages when doing the game html (online league & almanac) output, or at least the html of retired players who made the HOF.

Edit: Never mind - that is there, the retired player html option is just defaulted to off in the pre-report level profile:-).

Ability to turn OFF career-ending injuries, but still have injuries.

This can be particularly helpful when simming historical leagues years at a time. I like to just leave the computer to simulate years at a time for me and always feel like just starting over if I come back and see that Ty Cobb suffered a CEI early in his career. There was even one instance where Roberto Alomar had 3 career-ending injuries in 1 season for me where I simply edited him each time. I realize CEIs happen and it's why many players retire, but in historical leagues it kinda helps with the "what if?" part if we can turn these types of injuries off. How many HRs would Albert Belle have hit or how many trick-or-treaters would he have terrorized if he hadn't suffered a CEI? Would he have gone downhill anyways? Belle is just one example cause I can't really think of any older players who had their careers ended too early other than Clemente, but you get the point. Adding an option to eliminate CEIs would be great and HOPEFULLY not too hard to do.

You will see that the fifth column is Career Ending Possible Bool. In English "Can this injury cause a CEI?"

You can see for a common cold, it is set to 0. This means no CEI possible when catching a cold.

It would be nice if we could view the scouting reports as a compilation. this way the the most recent scouting report on a player would be shown no matter which scout in the organization performed the report. Maybe add the scout initials or position to the screen. i.e. HS ML1, ML2 etc.

a related request would be to filter out old scouting reports. The older the report is the less its value.

Theirs other Key Dates that happen mostly in the Offseason so I hope those Options are add in the next Patch.
