McGowan's into the game now. Let's see what he can do here.
Apparently he's caught Towersitis as he walks Bernie on 4 and an upper deck shot to Damon.......

Aaron Hill continues to struggle... Randy gets the first two batters out, then walks the bases loaded... Zaun brings home 1 on a single... then Aaron Hill follows that out with a pop out on a full count.

He's lowered his average to .178 on the season.

The offense can cover for Hill. They can't cover for Towers' suckitude.

True, but Aaron's really bad at the plate right now.

With Johnson struggling he's got to at least put good wood on the ball, but instead another lame pop-up.

Thank god he seems to be playing good D for the most part.

Now can the pitchers put a 0 on the board this game?

As for Towers, I don't see how they can let him start another game.......but they probably will.

Thank God this game is finally over. Yankees score runs in every single inning.

17-6 final.

Looks like todays game is only on MLB.com.

Strange broadcast. No graphics on screen and the audio is the Yankees radio. Weird.

I believe if you get the Rogers digital preview channel, the game is on there as well. Unfortunately, I don't have that.

He would probably be lousy even if he was pitching for the Lansing Lugnuts.

I am betting on a move to the bullpen and letting McGowan start some games. He does not deserve to be a SP!

From what I've heard, the plan is still to have McGowan in the bullpen. The Jays are just more comfortable with him there. McGowan, however, has stated that he prefers starting, so we'll have to wait and see what the Jays end up doing with him.

Longterm, I still see him ending up in the rotation. His talent is wasted in the bullpen.

Towers's middle name is ERIC!

That could explain things.

I believe you're mistaken here, I've heard he asked to be a reliever.

Unfortunately, I think they'll let him lose a couple more games before doing that.

That's what I heard originally. But a few days ago I read something McGowan said which would contradict that. I'll try to find the link for it.

This link actually states that for the time being, McGowan is more comfortable in the bullpen, but down the road he would prefer starting since that is what he has done his whole career, and he is starting to miss doing that.

And the Blue Jays win! Troy Glaus with 4 hits (all extra base hits), Lilly with a terrific start, Wells extends his hitting streak. Good comeback by the Jays. 13-11, 1 game behind the Sox and tied with the Yankees.

Casey Janssen takes to the hill for his second Major League start tonight. He started out poorly in his first one, but managed to regroup a bit.

Ok that makes some sense when he's in the majors, but why be a reliever in the minors??

He needs work and he'll get more as a starter than as a reliever who occasionally gets in games.

On the plus side Frasor's looked ok in 2 innings for Syracuse. Small sample but hopefully he turns it around.
