I had this happen once but once I played a season all of the teams' 'non-history' disappeared..

Confirmed. Legacy bug from at least OOTP13, possibly earlier.

I find it annoying that playoff games do not sell out. I've seen World Series games not sell out many time along with games at other levels. That is not realistic. I don't care what city or league you are in or any of your setting in OOTP, playoff games should always sell out!

Yes, someone can probably find exceptions, but they would be extremely rare. I've seen many games in OOTP, where the stadium can hold 44000 fans and only ~41000 attend a World Series game. In real life, those games sell more tickets than seats because of standing room only tickets sold.

I've noticed that this is very strongly related to the day of the week, with mid-week having a strong drop off in attendance. This is probably related to the normal season attendance adjustments.

I think a fix should be made to always sell out when a team is in the playoffs.

Not exactly a bug, but a clear error in design:

Beginning in 16, you are no longer able to list your starter as the defensive sub.

You should be able to do that. For example:
Platoon starter vs. lefty is a lousy fielder
Platoon starter vs. right hander is a good fielder

Starting pitcher in this particular game is a left hander, so the lousy fielder is in the game. But the LH pitcher is relieved by a right hander during the game... so the AI is now looking at the versus RH settings. Thus, the same player is the starter versus RH and the defensive sub versus RH.

Was this answered? I have the exact same issue on the exact same date, only I'm using the Cubs and playing the Phillies. It works fine until that date, but it crashes on me if I try to advance the day.

Hello,

this was an issue for me in 15 and it has persisted to 16. I loaded up a fresh sim went into the emails and every new email has a subject of ! and the contents are blank. I normally download the league file from within the ootp gui, though i will manually import from time to time. Neither method makes a difference in the email issue though. The best part is that it is erratic, I cannot see a reason why it will display fine vs display nothing. Please help.

Just had this happen in our on-line league running v16.7.36

Suspended game(4/6) in the 7th (rescheduled for 6/27). The 4/7 game for one of the teams from the suspended game was rained out (different opponent) and scheduled for 4/8 as a DH. The pitcher that started the suspended game on4/6, and went 6 innings, came back to start one game of the DH on 4/8.

What it looks like to me is that when the game was suspended on 4/6 the pointer to who the next pitcher is in the rotation wasn't advanced to point to the next pitcher in the rotation hence the same guy started both games(just my guess).

For some reason, I had the '69 Mets playing a game in Jarry Park in Montreal, and the ballpark backdrop looked like a bizarre checkerboard.

Not a big problem, just wondering what can be done about it:

Try redownloading the .prk file, that should do the trick.

I had a player selected in the Rule 5 Draft who was sent to AAA with no repercussions. You can see the guy had no injuries (besides a three-day one after the AAA season was over) so it wasn't a rehab assignment.

The third pic is a second player, chosen the same day, that was handled correctly and returned to me. Maybe a second player chosen by the same team in the same draft screws it up? Just speculating here.

I'm in the middle of July, 2018, and virtually all of the top hitting prospects are catchers. Do I have a problem in my settings somewhere or is this a bug?

In my MLB quickstart, I've noticed that past scouting reports often have the exact same actual & potential as current date. In the screenshot below:

OSA and Scout reports have same actual overall rating despite the CON/POW/EYE changes.
The most recent past OSA report (date 3/6/16) if different than the top row.
This particular player started as a 21 overall in minor leagues at the beginning of the game.

Is this a bug or did I mess up my league settings?

I've started seeing this weird thing in my league where Seattle 2 (DSL) Mariners 2 and Boston 2 (DSL) Red Sox 2 are able to sign huge stars to minor league deals. I tried releasing all the players in Commish mode but the next day they all re-sign again with these teams. I had league evolution on for awhile in this league, is there anything in that which could cause this?

Had some rule 5 bugs pop in the online league I run just want to bring it to attention.

1st issue - as you can see in the screenshot below on 12/30/2016 the player who had been selected in the rule 5 was released back to his team and subsequently auto released by the team, something that has happened with multiple players

2nd issue - For some reason this season multiple rule 5 picks were placed in their teams lowest rookie leagues instead of onto the major league roster. I do not have a screenshot as I moved everyone to the major league rosters already.

The 12/30 "release" didn't actually happen, judging from the fact Texas released him twice!

It did, I was alerted by a league member that the player was in the Free Agent pool so I placed him back in the organization. Then they released him purposely instead of the AI releasing.
