Milling Series: Game 4 - #2 Kona Pipeline vs #3WC Four Hands Typhon
Kona breaks out, avoids sweep After two dismal games at home, Kona hoped a change of venue would do them good. Victor Rosas led off the game by cranking a solo home run on the first pitch of the game. Kona wouldn't score again until the 6th inning when slugger Rico Mendieta finally broke out of his post season slump and blasted a solo shot of his own. Mendieta would come up again in the 8th, this time with 2 runners aboard, and pop his second homer of the game as he helped lead Kona to a 7-1 win to avoid a Four Hands sweep. |

Milling Series: Game 3 - #4 Sleeping Giant Beaver Duck vs #1WC Toboggan Lunatic Fridge
Late rally by Toboggan completes sweep Hoping to avoid the broom, Sleeping Giant came out swinging and pushed three runs across the plate before Toboggan had a chance to bat. While that put a slight damper on the crowd, they didn't give up hope and neither did their team. Toboggan picked up a run in the bottom half of the frame, then another 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th to tie the game at 3 each. The Beaver Duck tallied another 3 runs in the 6th and 7th to reclaim their 3 run lead heading into the late innings. Then the bottom of the 7th happened... a 2 run homer by Vinny Rondon pulled Toboggan to with a run at 6-5. Two batters later, Kevin Hill blasted a 2 run homer of his own to give Toboggan a 7-6 lead. Three batters later, Gabe Kazarian blasted a 2 run homer to pad the lead to 9-6. The Lunatic Fridge bullpen would make that hold up as they swept the series 3 games to none. |

Milling Series: Game 4 - #3 Terrapin Hopsecutioner vs #2WC Russian River Blind Pig
Hopsecutioner prevail in game 4 series clinching win Russian River drew first blood in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Unfortunately for Blind Pig fans, that would prove to be the only run they would score. While that lead held up for most of the game, the wheels fell off in the 7th as Terrapin notched 5 runs en route to a 6-1 win and a 3 games to 1 series victory. |

Mashing Series: Game 1 - #1 Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot vs #4 Ballast Point Commodores
Arnold, Weyerbacher win in dramatic style On paper it would seem a mismatch with Weyerbacher winning 35 more regular season games than Ballast Point, and ace starter Jim Stamey heading to the mound for game 1. Stamey would pitch 7 innings and strike out 12 batters, but would also uncharacteristically serve up the long ball. The game would be tied 4-4 after 9 innings and head to extra frames. In the bottom of the 15th, Blithering Idiot designated hitter Dan Arnold came to the plate and cranked a walk off home run into the left centerfield stands to give Weyerbacher a 5-4 win and a 1-0 series lead. |
