Aina Haina's next seven games are against Green Lake and Battery Point. Yikes.

I don't know why you are worried... The Bunnies have quietly been eating grass while you have demolished their home so far this season. We have nine games against you on the remaining schedule; six of them in your house. We also play three more games against Green Lake. They have already taken two out of three against us so far this year. I just hope I can hang on to a wild card spot when all the dust clears.

fyi - I added some color coding to the level column on the online sheet to hopefully make it a little easier to pick out who needs to friend whom to keep their lists at 30 max (small snapshot attached).... (the things I do at work when I don't want to actually work of course, I'm on vacation as of 5pm, so not like I planned to work much today anyway)

the 'color formats' tab will also tally up the number of teams in each tier, so you can see how many are ahead/behind your current tier... our current breakdown is:

Iron = 14
Bronze = 5
Silver = 11
Gold = 6
Diamond = 5
Perfect = 1 (left the Freeloaders here until they for sure move back down)

Annandale hit the PP jackpot today - I got my Challenge packs this morning and they were randomly awarded a Gold pack. The pack had not one, but two gold cards in it (Torres and Rizzo) AND a Diamond (Carrasco). They're all live cards so I'm just going to sell them but that should be a nice injection of PP once I get rid of all of them.

Now all I need to do is figure out how to fix the Atom Smashers!

Congrats! My luck is bound to turn one of these days on packs. The only good cards I ever got were from the starter packs - Gold Kirby Puckett and Silver Daniel Murphy. Ever since then the best I've got in a pack is a junk Silver card.

only lucked out once so far with my CM packs (the 96 rated David Robertson that I sold for a cool 15K).... that definitely helped bolster a few spots in the lineup


*note to self* it might be time to move out of Silver before Annandale upgrades and starts to kick your butt around the league (and that's assuming they don't move up to gold at the same time)

You guys think that pack Annandale got was good .... I also run a packs-only team. Every weekend they get to open 5 packs. I also had a challenge pack to open and a seventh pack based on some rules I added to deal with duplicates. From those seven packs I got

93 Cliff Lee
85 Buehler
85 Acuna
100 Scherzer (who turned 99 the next day)

... for my team that's stuck in Bronze. And they also have Tatis Jr, Gallo, and Carrasco, so they are looking a little overpowered for Bronze at the moment.

That Cliff Lee card is great. I don't know if I've ever seen it on the AH, but if I had I probably wouldn't have been able to afford it.

Oh, and the Scherzer card - in either his 1st or 2nd start for this team? Threw a perfect game!

Maybe they will finally make it to Silver!

It seems the Roadrunners want to add to the pennant race excitement that's gripping the other four (count 'em) Our League seasons. They still hold the top spot, but their challengers have narrowed the gap. Many thanks to those putting up the standings for the other Our League levels, and to Kushiel for sending me these.

Now that I know about Google sheets (gimme a break, they've only be around for about 10 years or so), I thought I'd post the team vs. team results. Not sure there's a command in the sort function to re-jigger the table when I'm done entering so it posts by winning percentage. The sort function only seems to account for row headers; it can't separate out two sets of alpha characters without failing, so I'll have to leave them in alphabetical order. Not to worry, I'll just post the two tables going forward. I'd also be happy to post it for the other Our Leagues, perhaps at season's end, but I'd need someone to send me the results at kidheckett@gmail.com. As it normally is, read it accross for wins, down for losses.

You know Entry League is taking too long when you leave the house and come back to the following average stats for your team:

Speed average: 98
Steal average: 99
Running average: 93

I don't believe this experiment from the kids works to generate the much needed points to properly upgrade positions.
I still believe hitting will produce a lot more points compared to the 50pts for "Running fast" achievement.
On the other hand, they already managed to get a "Stole Home" for 500 pts.

I think the season is a wrap for Melaka Armada. The team is not getting the OL crown and I think it's too far from a wildcard spot either. I am thinking of doing some position training for my player but the stat numbers OCD in me just want me to keep using the optimum lineup. I guess I shall focus my energy on the auction house for upgrades.

A ridiculously good month for Battery Point (20-5 so far) and a horrible month by Aina Haina has the Parakeets on the outside looking in. Upgrades need to be made, especially to their woeful offense.

Palolo's attempt to fix their defense has unfortunately and no unexpectedly weakened their former potent offense.

Jekyll and Hyde Kaneohe continues to struggle. A solid offense is backed up by a horrible pitching staff and an under-performing defense.

Ewa Beach has been a solid all-around time that is definitely better than its 71-56 record shows.

My plan is to just swap the positions around for my current fielders to get some training on the other positions for all of them, making them more ready for future if I ever want to change them to another position due to roster change.

Last Sunday, I was intending to put my current 3B, 77 Vinny Castilla on 1B and get another 3B with better fielding stat(or just any infielder with great fielding and jam him into 3B) but I can't find any suitable cards on AH so I got desperate and bought a 77 Keith Hernandez to field 1B. It's a worthwhile purchase because he has 3.9 WAR so far but I sort of broke my house rules with that. So I am a little guilty and I am trying to search for a new 1B or 3B and pull Hernandez out of lineup. Or a new outfielder for DiMaggio, I guess.

My house rule is to keep the team as national and ethnicity as diverse as possible and my initial plan is to have only 2 Americans for batter and only 2 Americans for pitchers at most -- preferably 1 white and 1 black. If I cannot achieve that, the "second tier" rule is to keep their heritage different, which I currently am withholding with only Keith Hernandez and Dom DiMaggio as the two American players in my team. I wanted to buy a Negro League player but they were either very expensive or (the one I wanted are) not available on Sunday when I was shopping.

I am also trying to reduce the number of Dominicans in my teams but it's a tough task. They are too darn great and have the most amount of cards among foreigners. I probably have to abandon my "speed and defensive" sub-theme if I want to be more on-theme.

Edit: I did a search on the card_list excel sheet and can't seem to find one that fits your description so I assume Hill is a nickname? Google gave me a lot of Pete Hill though.
