Colorado Springs' 3-game sweep of Daytona Beach has them in front.

Nicely set for a good battle for the crown. However, Columbia's final 5 games will be played within their next 5 series, and they could walk away with it.

Geez. Grovers Mill still has something like 20 games to play in Our League. Wow.

Columbia only managed to win 8 games over the last month, but, critically, 3 of 'em were OL. This puts the Cougars in a very strong position, as Grovers Mill need to win 8 of 11, Mevagissey need 9 of 10, Long Beach need 13 of 15, and Terra Incognita need 12 of 13! Given that they're all playing each other, the likelihood of such results is slim, though the Invaders clearly have the most realistic shot at bridging the gap.

Three teams are still in the hunt, but Holy City could be the key to winning the championship as they have 7 games vs. Baltimore and 3 vs. Brooklyn. SaukCentre has 3 vs. Doug in the final week of the season.
SaukCentre Landsharks 11-5 .688 Brooklyn Dynasty 7-4 .636 Baltimore Barons 12-7 .632 Doug Outs 5-11 .313 Holy City Hurricanes 4-12 .250

Six games between New Zealand and Card Era should decide the title.

Tight race with enough games left to make it interesting.

All our bases are theirs!
Pretty exciting finish in Silver. Mevagissey went 6-1 in their first two series, thus needing to close out with a 3-game sweep of Auckland, but they went down 2-1. Meanwhile, despite losing their first game, Grovers Mill went on to achieve just one loss in each of their final three series, and reach the 8-3 figure that they needed to pip Columbia. Congrats! To top it off, the Invaders won their 163rd 'winner takes all' game (with a bottom of the 9th walk-off) to join Aceldama and Mevagissey in the playoffs. Not only were Columbia pipped at the death, but they will drop to Bronze as well. |

Diamond League
Kind of forgot about Diamond, or tried to anyway... At one point, Mount Hawke spent a 12-game losing streak rising to the top of the batting WAR charts. That kind of season
![]() Anyway, looking at the final table, my heart wants to give the Mundys a crown. I don't expect Stanley to chime in heavily in support of that, so what does everyone else think? I just feel they deserve something for grimly battling away in Diamond for months with little to show for it. No playoff action, and Bushwood will return to Gold. They're probably buzzing at the thought of an action-packed week in Gold. |

Gold league:
In OL play, it came down to the final 4 game series between Waffletown and Shinbone to decide the crown. The Syrups took game 1 (6-4), and then Shinbone grabbed wins in game 2 (7-5) and game 3 (6-5... Shinbone scored 5 runs in the top of the 9th, and Waffletown picked up 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to come up just short). Game 4 would be the deciding game, with the winner claiming the OL crown; and it ended up being a thriller of a pitching duel. Shinbone's Fred Hutchinson pitched a complete game, going the full 9 innings, giving up just 4 hits and 1 run with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Waffletown's Bullet Joe Rogan was up to the task, tossing his own complete game as he went the full 9 innings as well, giving up just 3 hits with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts. The only difference in the game... a walk-off solo home run by Syrup's first baseman Willie McCovey to clinch the 1-0 victory and the OL crown for Waffletown. Overall, there was more drama as Shinbone and Claptown finished with identicl 91-71 records to share the division lead, so they would need game 163 to decide who got the division crown and who picked up wild card spot number 2. Shinbone would take a 3-0 lead (scoring runs in the 4th, 6th and 7th); but Claptown would storm back with 3 runs in the top of the 8th to tie it up. The game went to extras, where Shinbone emerged victorious with a run in the bottom of the 10th for a 4-3 win. For the playoffs: in the AC, Waxhaw nabs a bye for the first round, while Los Angeles will play in the wild card round. In the NC, Waffletown gets a first round bye, while in the wild card round, Greenland will play Claptown; and Shinbone will try to win to face the Syrups in the LDS. North Bay will head back to Silver next season |

SaukCentre held on to win the title after sweeping Doug in the final week of the season. They head to the playoffs with Baltimore and a possible meeting in the league championship. Holy City will be headed back down to Iron.
SaukCentre Landsharks 14-5 .737 Brooklyn Dynasty 9-5 .643 Baltimore Barons 16-10 .615 Holy City Hurricanes 8-18 .308 Doug Outs 5-14 .263
