The Challenge mode award date and time appears in your Transaction log, so you can track the 72 hour refresh from there. I have it tracked on a spreadsheet, of course. One of my spreadsheets tracks PP and records for each of my teams:

always good to see fellow spreadsheet nerds and their creations

think I have close to 2 dozen tabs on my v20 sheet tracking various things (pitchers/batters to watch for; current squad; points earned by day/season; pack results (currently at 78% live ); team season stats....)

course, can't say it's done me a lot of good as I haven't won a championship yet but someday maybe.....

What a nerd. Lol. Nah. That is super smart. I might do that. Might even start tracking what I get from them.

Thanks for your interest. Here's the basic idea (see attached). Packs from challenge mode are fine, or frittering away your earned points on them (something I'm trying to resist this year) is also fine.

Just don't play it like me if you want the packs. I just started a historical replay taking over the 1962 Mets (my first love). Can't imagine there'll be any packs coming my way anytime soon. My previous was the Senators, in 1950. I got fired after four seasons, just as I had finally gotten them to a competitive level.

I liked the idea of 1927 but felt taking the Yankees was like cheating so for my first serious challenge mode attempt I am going to manage the 1927 St Louis Cardinals. Figure gives me a decent shot at a pennant or two over the next few years. Decide to manage only and not GM so I don’t have an unfair advantage over AI Gms. Also went with assigning rookies rather than draft to keep a sort of historical perspective.

Be interesting to follow along with Ruth as his season progresses while hopefully leading the Cards to a World Series matchup with Ruth and Gehrig

When someone put a Carew 87 on AH for short period (I think it was 3 hours) and I discovered I could get him below market rate (I paid about 8800 for him) I decided to pick him up.

By the way, because of being beaten up by you and by others on an extended road trip, my team era is down to 8th best at the moment.

As far as SS defense is concerned, I have just noticed that Maddox was getting 12 to 15 ZR every year (103 DEF in CF) while Rizzuto's was only getting 4 to 5. I will see whether the increased DEF at SS makes much difference.
They say you need good defense up the middle, while you can get by with a 70 defensive rating in LF.

I thought it was Legends (not Future Legends) that weren't allowed. Did I misunderstand?

Was about to ask if the Negro League cards counted as they fall under the Legends category.

Legend's allowed, Future Legend isn't. The league is pretty old school, with 2018 Rookie Sensation being the "newest" among the legal sets.

The biggest surprise team this year is the debuting Bronze Argonauts, who are Our League compliant but not in Our League. I'm using it to collect cards so will change the theme here or there. The All-Bronze Argonauts currently have the best run differential in the league at +77 and sit atop the division. Here are my cards, let me know if you have any more ideas for Bronze cards:

I think like you so I didn't farm pack this way with my main account(Goliathus). I want achievements on that account to be legit - of course, if one is a big fan of 1927 Yankee then that's legit too - but I do that for my other accounts cuz those are whatever.

I just want to make sure the Mets don't draft Greg Goosen with the first overall pick again..

Wasn't able to get the Iron schedule up because of an interesting and revealing set of circumstances. Bottom of the Sixth sent me the screen shots of the schedules that he took a couple of hours before the league started. He left off a couple of the new teams, and when he sent those, the league had started play, and the schedule was different! Not sure when the schedule is finalized, but I'll probably put a thread on the PT to see if I can find the answer. Unfortunately, I won't have time to get the schedule up tonight. Will try to post one tomorrow with the remaining games.

I'll bet not much of a pitching staff left for next game.

heh.... yeah, I have my starter and two relievers who are full strength.... everyone else is yellow/red.... took a peek at his staff.... everyone is either 2 bars yellow or 1 bar red (including the next starter)....

here's hoping my boys can capitalize on that

I see many familiar faces on your team! Here are some others that I'm using

63 OVR Peanuts Lowrey is a good all-around utility guy, can train to green ratings for all infield positions and blue for all outfield.

68 OVR Musial is a pretty good card too. At least a good platoon guy vs RHP.

You could jettison one of your good defensive catchers and use 63 OVR Brian Harper - he hit great for me but his defense is 10. Yeah, 10.

I've only seen Peanuts on the block once.. he seems to be pretty rare for a Bronze card. I'll search for Musial tomorrow.

I do have Brian Harper though I would think Bob Boone would be much better all around. But I don't really know if catcher defense makes much of a difference -- it seems not to matter as much as it should. Maybe I'll platoon Lavalliere and Harper and see if there's a noticeable distinction in stats. At least if Harper is a mess I may have a chance for more 4 strikeout innings.
