If I had to speculate, I'd guess there is some kind of ability to set-up playoff rounds between separate, individual leagues. If playoffs were limited to just sub-leagues, that'd be a fairly big restriction. Though with a league now able to hold up to 50 divisions, there would likely be workarounds of one kind or another possible. |

Picture this: The league I am contemplating will be 48 divisions total (one for each of the continental US). Each division having 4 teams from the state it represents. I would group states into a league of 6 (2 sub leagues with 3 states in each). So that would give me 8 leagues. Each of the 8 leagues would have playoffs containing the champions of each state, and a wild card for each sub league. (So 4 team playoffs exactly like todays NL and AL playoffs). I would then have the 2 champions of each sub league then play for the league title (which would then give me 8 league champions). At this point, I would hopefully be able to put the 8 league champions into a tournament for a true National Championship. I hope this makes sense as I am very tired while I write this lol. Anyway, this is what I am hoping to be able to do ![]()

This is all awesome! I have a question, though.
Say I have a MLB league, and I'm managing the Cubs and Corey Patterson. His stats have been bad the last two years, but his talent rating is still high (he's 25, say). I have a winter league team that has a top notch hitting coach. How would I move Corey down there for the winter to improve on his hitting game without having to trade him? I don't think I want to maintain a winter league with a team associated with each team; I would suspect that the league would have only 8 teams. Would this be possible, or am I stuck with having him languish in the minors until he develops, or a team wants to trade for him? Thanks
