Diamond League

The Mundys put themselves into contention with a 3-1 series against Aomori. They could do with taking 3 from 3 in the next series with the Tinners, but 2-1 will still give them a chance as long as Aomori can pull off a revenge sweep of Mount Hawke in the final OL series.

No OL games in the coming month, so the next update will be the final standings on Sunday.

Silver

Long Beach will finally get off the bench with seven OL games this month. A solid month could make them difficult for Shinbone to catch, despite the Stars sparkling record.

Gold League

Quick update. Bushwood came back to the pack slightly. LA leapfrogged North Bay and Claptown to lead the chase.

Five teams in the thick of it for division titles, Mevagissey almost footing the league. Looks like I'll be able to give Stanley a bit of time off from covering Silver...

Gold League

Bushwood's most recent series was an 0-3 sweep by North Bay, which has dramatically shifted the balance of power. LA have 3 games vs Mevagissey, Bushwood have 3 @ Greenland. A series win for either will eliminate the rest of the league. In the unlikely event that both of the leaders flame out, Claptown have 6 games, Coney Island have 8, North Bay 7, and Waffletown 9. I think they all have at least a sliver of a chance, but North Bay probably have about a one in a million shot!

While everyone else is eyeing up some form of glory, Greenland have joined Mevagissey in the fight for survival.

Yeah, Greenland hasn't been so hot lately, I think we'll try to move down to Silver to try and motivate the guys a bit more

Shinbone continues to hold sway, but either Long Beach or Aceldama could take advantage if they slump in September.

Eden Prairie continued its dominant run and will be nigh unto impossible to catch.

Colorado Springs with a good lead into the final month. Trying to edge Belo Horizonte out of the playoffs as well.

Port Ruppert took 2 of 3 from Mount Hawke, but the Tinners went on to take 2 of 3 against Aomori to wrap things up. Notably, Aomori had terrible RNG to open the season and Mount Hawke were lucky to visit them early and come away with a sweep.

The Bakemonotachi quickly overcame their early misfortune to post another strong season, and Mount Hawke rode some luck to the best record in the AC.

Gold league:

Los Angeles finishes with not only the best record in the overall league, but the top spot in the OL standings to nab the Gold tier crown.

Overall, Los Angeles, Waxhaw, Waffletown, and North Bay win their respective divisions. LA and Waffletown get byes for the first round of the playoffs, while Waxhaw, North Bay, and Bushwood will play in the wild card round.

Mevagissey will head back to Silver next season

I am bit surprised that Coney Island bounced back from being 12 games under .500 to finish 6 games above. I still think they are only an adequate silver team. Some good pack luck this week added to my bankroll. It would help if I could figure out what makes a good pitcher and the staff I have is wildly inconsistent from week to week which just makes it more difficult to make an educated decision.

Shinbone continued its dominant play to claim an easy coronation in Our League Silver. The Stars, plus Aceldama and Columbia, made the PT playoffs, with an OL Series possible. Holy City will make the pilgrimage back to Bronze.

Eden Prairie completed its relatively unmolested trail to the Our League Bronze crown. In PT, five OL teams made the playoffs with an OL Series in play. If Terra Incognita can win its Wild Card series, either they or Baltimore will rise to Silver. Daytona Beach couldn't swim fast enough to keep pace and will find themselves ashore in Iron next season.

Shout out to Preacher Rowe who's been regularly outperforming his supposedly more accomplished Mevagissey staff mates for a while, and did so again this week. I'm guessing that the new Carl Hubbel is quite good, though...

Over the last 1-2 months, Claptown and Mevagissey (both packs teams) have had the worst collective run of packs I've ever seen, no joke. I'm getting their live cards in order and then putting them on the shelf for the next month 'cause it's going against the objective of "a bit of fun". It won't do any harm for them to slide backwards a bit, like the Madder Do Ees have this week, as I can cover a lower league. Honestly, anyone would think I'd abandoned them a month ago if they'd been following my rosters!

Anyway, crowns will follow Rev's results.

Colorado Springs goes wire-to-wire to capture the OL I165 title. Savannah managed to leapfrog Belo Horizonte for the first loser spot.

The most intense battle was the race for relegation, with five of the seven OL teams in the mix.
