Bronze Final
Coney Island holds on to win the bronze crown.
In PT play three teams made the playoffs, Coney Island and Port Ruppert in the AC and Silly in the NC. With 12 teams getting promoted this week all 11 OL teams know where they will be next week so friends lists can be adjusted early. Moving to Silver: Coney Island, Port Ruppert, Silly, Boston and Cleveland Remaining in Bronze: Sugar Hill, Baltimore, Gettysburg, Ostego Lake Back to Iron: New York, South Holland |

Diamond
Paxville 14-11
Texarcana 13-13 Cedar Rapids 5-8 With Cedar Rapids 1 game above relegation, all OL teams will be staying in Diamond. Looking forward to some more teams joining us, but I'm anxious that we're not paired with DLL again... Good luck to all the playoff teams!

At the very least,Lemp Ave. and Nowhere will be in diamond next season. If Cary wins their wild card game, they will also move up. HelthWyzer will remain in gold. |

Rookie Final Standings
September only included 2 series between OL teams, which did little to change the standings. LabRats and Tortugas won their respective divisions and are headed to the playoffs and to promotion to Stone. LabRats management has announced that they will be opening the purse strings to add some quality to help them continue to rise.

Silver league finals standings:
Annandale cruises through the season to their second OL crown, and also nab the top seed in the AC for the playoffs. Overall, Boulder City and Algoma both struggled down the final stretch and dropped out of the post season push, but still remained clear of relegation. Waffletown made a solid run in September and once again found themselves in a tie for the final wild card spot, so game 163 was needed to determine who got the final spot. The Syrups faced off against the Montreal Voyageurs for the 7th time this season and had the task of going up against Cy Young in the win or go home final game. Thankfully for Waffletown, their own starter Mark Langston was up to the task (with the bullpen assistance of Tommy Bridges and Trevor Hoffman) as the Syrups claimed a 5-2 win to nab the final post season ticket. Waffletown will face off against division nemesis Kenner in the wild card game (Kenner won the season series 13-6; though a glimmer of hope for Waffletown is the fact they went 6-3 against the Saints in the final 9 games). Annadale will await the WC winner, setting up the possibility of an OL LDS matchup. No matter what happens in the post season, Annandale and Waffletown will move up to Gold. Boulder City and Algoma will remain at Silver |

The Commodores move to Silver (they're not ready) while Gettysburg and Baltimore stay in Bronze. Gettysburg missed the playoffs by one game (losing the last 2 games of the season).
I've managed to keep the teams moving up (slowwwwly), not through the efforts of pack opening. 8 weeks in and I still have only pulled ONE Diamond so far. It's gotten so bad I'm actually starting another run of the Universal Baseball Association in Classic OOTP!! I keep dreaming of pulling a high end Perfect so I can actually finance a rebuild, LOL. Good luck to everyone this week!

Henry Waugh, Proprietor? Hmm, I should go looking through my books to dig that out and read it again. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 05-23-2021 at 11:43 AM. |

Hot Rods Take Stone Title
Route 66 stayed on top to win OL St160. They now enter the playoffs in the Division series and will advance to Iron, while the other three OL teams are relegated to Rookie.

Inland Empire Hangs on for Iron Title
Inland Empire wins in OL I205. However, they won't be going to the playoffs, nor will they be promoted or relegated. Asheboro and Bluffton have a chance to advance in the playoffs, while Las Vegas and West Burlington are relegated to Stone.

Results for G304
So, the four games yesterday went 3-1 Nowhere over Cary, but as mentioned yesterday, Cary still won (and the crown was already rewarded). Final OL results were:
Cary: 19-7 Lemp Ave.: 0-0 Nowhere: 10-16 HeithWyzer: 4-10 So, here are the final standings and the playoff tree: Lemp Ave. and Nowhere are guaranteed to be in diamond next year, HeithWyzer will stay in Gold and, for Cary, it depends on the result of their wild card game. At any rate, since all three OL teams that are in diamond remain there, as long as everybody updates their friend's list, there should be the first 2022 OL crown for diamond next season (and I believe for a couple of teams it will be their first chance for an OL crown since they have been ahead of the curve from the beginning). Whether there is a Gold crown depends on the outcomes of the wild card games in silver and Gold though.

All Crowns are Posted
A half dozen OL teams sport new headgear. Promotion and relegation are set, so you can get an early start on your Friends List, keping in mind the couple we missed last week.
R57 - Left Coast and Daytona Beach to stone, Shoebox and Sunday remain. St131 - Gem City up to iron ST160 - Rte 66 to iron, Hartford, Gear Terrace, Burnside down to rookie. I205 - Asheboro and Bluffton to bronze, Shinbone, Keystone, Inland Empire, remain, Las Vegas and West Burlington to stone. I219 - Iron Maiden down to stone. B235 - Coney Island, Port Ruppert, Silly, Boston, and Cleveland to silver, Sugar Hill, Gettysburg, and Baltimore remain, New York and South Holland to iron. S250 - Waffletown and Annandale to gold, Algoma, and Boulder City remain. G304 - Lemp Ave., and Nowhere to diamond, Cary and HelthWyzer remain. D354 - Cedar Rapids, Paxville, and Texarkana all remain. We have 39 teams and they break down next season as follows: Rookie - 5, Stone - 4, Iron - 8, Bronze - 6, Silver - 7, Gold - 4, and Diamond - 6. If we are diligent, we should have another week of seven crowns. That's it for now, so go ahead and get ahead of your friends list. I'll check back later in the day, hopefully to hand out PT playoff hardware. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 05-23-2021 at 01:58 PM. |

I'll update the online sheet when I get back as long as the results are posted here. |

Oops. Edited Version
Actually the preceding post about promotion/relegation is not quite right. In gold, only eight teams will be promoted, so Cary will remain if they lose their wild card game. Sorry if I jinxed them. Everything else is correct.
I have fixed the previous post to reflect that Cary remains in gold. That post is now completely correct. Sorry for being confusing, but I don't want to type it all again. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 05-23-2021 at 02:03 PM. |
