June recap: League Leaders -

Lager League: Pilsner Division - Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot - coasting along once again with a 14.5 game lead, Weyerbacher is enjoying the top ranked offense (1st in runs scored, batting average, on base percentage, OPS, batting WAR, wOBA) and top ranked pitching (1st in runs against, bullpen ERA, pitching WAR, and strikeouts; and 2nd in starters ERA). "It won't mean anything if we don't win the final game of the year" said ace starter Jim Stamey.

Lager League: Kolsch Division - Charleville Half Wits - thanks to a 12 game winning streak in June, Charleville moved into the lead in the Kolsch division. Top starter Jose Torres is doing all he can to shut down the opposition with a league leading 1.29 ERA in 119 innings pitched.

Lager League: Helles Division - Ballast Point Commodores - a 16-11 month of June helped Ballast Point take over the Helles division lead at the halfway point of the season. The tag-team starting combo of Mike Roberts (8-0, 1.88 ERA) and Min Tae Bae (9-3, 1.89 ERA) are a big reason the club is in the position they are at this point.

Lager League: Tripel Division - Meadowlark Mob Barley - despite a rather dismal 10-16 record in June, Meadowlark managed to finish June with a 6 game lead in the divsion. Mob Barley fans hope their club can heat up along with the summer temps and get on a winning track.

Stout League: Porter Division - Crooked Crab Furious George - Crooked Crab is riding the solid pitching of Chris Connolly (7-2, 1.71 ERA), Chris Sherrard (6-3, 3.38 ERA) and Antonio Torres (6-2, 3.33 ERA) to a Porter division lead at the halfway mark. On the offensive side, designated hitter Brady Worster (18 home rune, 53 RBIs, .316 ERA) is leading the charge with the bat.

Stout League: Dunkel Division - Rabid Dwarves of Doom / Four Hands Typhon - It was almost a three way tie for the division lead (with Jester King a half game back), but June ended with just two teams sharing the top spot. Four Hands is using some solid hitting (2nd in league average) and baserunning (1st overall) to power their squad; while Rabid is using a middle of the road approach with both offense and defense to do just enough to stay atop.

Stout League: Eisbock Division - Kona Pipeline - thanks to the most fearsome power game in the league (already four players over 20 home runs, and one, Rico Mendieta, with 30), Kona enjoys a 3 game lead in the division at the halfway point.

Stout League: Altbier Division - Stony Creek Crankenstein - in a tight race, Stony Creek holds a half game lead in the Altbier division. Solid pitching from Melvin Loera (9-4, 2.41 ERA) and Alfonso Rosales (9-4, 2.84 ERA) are a large reason why they club holds the division lead.
