I'm a bit of a purist and OCDish, so I won't add - OL to my names. In the interests of camaraderie though, I will add a + to my abbreviations when I get home.

and on some of the longer team names, it won't show up anyway in the standings, as they already run off the page

For sure. I also thought it might spark a little curiosity in others and pick up a few more recruits. It's just a suggestion.

Yeah any brainstorming is cool, no worries. It would be nice if Perfect Team facilitated the establishment of leagues like ours a bit better. Would be cool to have a closed league running alongside the PT setup -- kind of like the forthcoming tournaments with no PP. But have 30 of our teams fight it out in a closed league for Our League bragging rights.

After a rather slow start my team is 19-10 since late April ... we had a couple of nice pitching efforts plus Robin came within a single of the cycle

Our starting pitching is the worst it's ever been, and I have absolutely no answers for it. No matter who I put in, they stink up the joint. 5.72 ERA starting pitching ERA is the worst in the entire league.

Added Claude Osteen to my rotation, but even though he's a groundball pitcher, I don't think that will make any difference. You can have all the great hitting in the world, but if you don't have the pitching to go with it, it's useless. It all adds up to yet another lost season in bronze with no shot at promotion.

Also, report will come tomorrow afternoon. Got some things to do in the morning so I won't be able to get to it until then, unless someone who's also in B272 can cover for me. Normal service should resume tomorrow evening.

While the Classics continue to cruise along on top, Annandale and Salem both began to stake their their own claims and are stalking the leader. Waffletown made a swift turnaround, going 8-2 to get back into the mix.

It's still anybody's game here in Iron, as it's still early in the season. Gotham and Fancher Creek need to step it up a bit. Motown is a complete mystery, having played no OL games, but given his knowledge of the team, this reporter can tell you they're a longshot at best.

Nice to see that Salem is doing okay in OL games. In the regular season, we're 22 and 32 - which is actually a big improvement over the early season. Sigh.

We did get an immaculate inning, which was cool. Butt my diamond Wilbur Cooper is having another .500 season. At least my diamond Jay Bell is hitting .300. He's there for defense, so the average is a bonus.

The Puppies gave saved up some PP and are waiting to see where that would best be spent. Salem just seems to have our number. It is looking good for an Our League team to take the pennant.

Man, joining this league makes me happy and angry at the same time. I am happy cuz it makes me give more darn about PT mode than ever. On the other hand, I find myself putting too much time per day on the goddarn auction market. I used to not care about the market cuz I know it's a time trap. It can accelerate the PP gain for a F2P team, but time is too valuable of a resource to commit to that. But now I find myself watching it like the stock market so I can earn the PP to field a better team next season.

We're doing okay and added Mr. Carew as a DH vs RH ... and he's tearing the cover off the ball, batting .516 (16-for-31)

Currently Mr. Killebrew tries to kill left-handers, but management seriously is considering going all-in with Carew
