All Time Standings Through 2025 Season
When I checked on this, I realized I had already put the 2025 results in, so I figured I'd post it.

Lost discipline and used 3,000 points on packs. Best thing I pulled was a 75 rated Jermaine Dye.

So, yeah, I used 5,000 points the Hatchets built up in their championship run and was 24-for-24 on pulling Live cards (bad ones at that). ![]() In the meantime, the Hatchets stumbled badly out of the gate -- the race stewards would've sent them straight to the glue factory. Instead, I sent half the roster to the minors. Hoping we can at least avoid relegation, though it's not looking likely, even this early in the season.

![]() New York has jumped out of the gate 13-10, but stumbled badly after starting 10-5. The move to a more contact-oriented lineup is paying off. Unfortunately, the starting pitching has been an absolute dumpster fire except for Joaquin Andujar (3-1, 2.32). Not an ERA under 4 in the bunch. If this keeps up mid-week, there will be some very tough decisions made. Hopefully the offense can generate enough points to allow me to make one of those tough decisions. |

3000 or 4000 points later I am selling a ton of live guys for 5 points each and cursing myself for being so foolish.

ROADRUNNERS SEND FELLER PACKING
After a disappointing start to the season that saw the CliffMarkle Roadrunners at .500 after 22 games a number of changes were made. The big move that set the tone for all of the others was the decision to sell 90 rated Bob Feller. After he struggled in 2 seasons at the Diamond level due to control issues and brutal first outing to start the season the Roadrunners put him on the block. We paid 7500 pts to get him and he was sold for 9000 so the club turned a small profit. "His strikeouts got us some decent points but his control was terrible, and all the walks were killing us," said Manager Tiger Fan. It also opened a spot in the rotation for either Willis Hudlin or Burt Hooton. Hooton had performed well in Diamond a year ago but the higher rated Hudlin was given first chance at the spot. Mike Hampton and Chris Short both also struggled so they were dispatched to the pen with Larry Jackson and newcomer Herb Pennock taking their spots in the rotation. Jackson was 1-1 with a 2.05 era in his 3 strarts while Pennock will make his debut this week. Defense has also been an issue particularly in the outfield and with Bobby Murcer( .195,2,8) and Mel Ott (.230,2,7) both stuggling at the dish a change was needed. A lack of speed had also been a concern as Alan Trammell (.310,3,14) is not suited for the lead-off role so the club used some of it's proceeds from the Feller sale to address the outfield situation. Enter inexpensive Rickey Henderson and Kenny Lofton. Henderson was purchased for 1149 points and Lofton for 1400 and instantly upgrade our defense and speed. That still leaves about 6500 left from the Feller deal to add another pitcher if needed - even more if Lofton proves he can get on base enough to allow us to sell Murcer. ----- The newcomers contributed in their Roadrunner debut, an 8-6 win over the Forest Hills Big Cats. Pennock didn't get a decision but he pitched 6 solid innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) and 8 hits, fanning 3 and not walking any Big Cats. Lofton was 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base while Henderson went 1-for-4 with a run scored. The hero was the lone survivor of my outfielder purge as Johnny Callison had 3 hits, including a pair of homers and drove in 4 runs.

Nooooo! Don't do that. I only rip packs in 19 because the AH is dead there.

At team meeting, several Bunnies' players lament hitting slump
Several of the traditionally most productive line drive hitters decided to pow wow in the Bunnies' clubhouse following the team's 27th game this season.
"I don't know how to explain it", began catcher Smoky Burgess, who is only batting .266 on the year. "I haven't had a batting average under .300 since I was in high school." "I know exactly what you mean," replied right-fielder Tony Gwynn. "My batting average was close to .400 last year, this year it is hovering at .270" "Hey, who are you all to complain", retorted third-baseman Wade Boggs from across the room. "I hit .313 last year, but this year I am only hitting at an abysmal .224 clip", he sighed. At least the three could content themselves with the knowledge that, despite their combined prolonged slump, the team still managed to win 19 of their first 27 games. "If we can pull ourselves together," Wade added, "who knows what the rest of the season could be like?"

To take it a step further, also adding it to the end of your team name helps when going through the team vs. team report in PT to compile the standings. Just sayin'. |

[QUOTE=Charlatan;4487687]Hey Stanley:
In both the cut+paste list and the png you have it as 'Germaniac-Pre-90' when it's really 'Germaniac-Pre90' Also the cut+paste list has Goliathus5 where it should be Goliathus3[/QUOTE Re-posting both here, with the corrections and the levels. NOTE: I see the mistake, but edit mode on thread won't let me pull down the attachments, so I'll re-post further down. Sorry. Wow. Ewa Beach had its own level there for awhile. Where to Do It; and What it Looks Like
As an example, I show the + added to the abbreviation and - OL added to the nickname. I think the - OL is kind of cool - sets us apart from the madding crowd.

Thanks for that friends list. I noticed you have Luchenbach in Iron but they're really in Gold. Not a biggie though. Last edited by Charlatan; 05-14-2019 at 08:21 AM. |

might be right there with ya..... my first achievement this season: 100 points for - Out of Slump ![]() broke a 7 game losing streak as we started out 0-7... went 0-9 in road games before finally picking up a win in an away game... later got to watch as Ted Lyons took a 1 hitter into the last of the 9th, only to then give up 2 singles and a walk-off 3 run homer to blow it (still only threw 86 total pitches the entire game)... at least I can keep my expectations low

Arkham and Salem have now been renamed to include an (OL) after the name and a + after the abbreviation. Gang tattoos are next!
