They will get their fourth year added once the 2024 season starts (or finishes, I forget exactly which) in-game, and then they will be eligible.

Detroit Tigers Roster issue:

I came across Keston Hiura on the Tigers and he is currently shown with his 2023 Major League contract $2.XM that he had prior to Milwaukee DFAing him.

Detroit signed him to a Minor League contract and invited him to spring training. He is not on the Tigers 40-man as of March 17th.

Justin Crawford Philadelphia Phillies. He is 77th prospect overall IRL but in the game doesn't even crack the top 500. Definitely needs a little more love there.

Mick Abel and Aidan Miller both seem to be under rated with regard to their prospect ranking.

I know I am not getting very deep here but with the Crawford one he is about 450 places off.

I didn't actually check the game yet, but just eyeballing his ratings, it does not seem he should be that low. Do you possibly have scouting turned on? That can affect this and randomly make a lot of players look 'off.

Regardless, looking him over he does deserve a boost, so will give that to him.

EDIT: He's actually 413 with scouting off, which is better but still painfully low. He arguably should be higher but unfortunately he has a profile the AI does not like quite as much as real life scouts do (high speed, contact and defense, relatively low eye and power). Will update him to get him to come in better, but he will always probably be a bit lower in-game compared to real life. Abel comes in at 93 now and Miller 121, both of which are indeed a bit low.

This is part of what I've mentioned (and is mentioned in the OP) a few times about prospects still being a WIP due to the early release. We'll be working on the Phillies prospects more within the next couple days (along with other teams), so things should look better overall for them soon.

As someone who personally has done a lot with roster creation with this game over the past 23 years I feel you pain with trying to adjust and make players come out to match RL. I appreciate you taking the time to look at it and see if adjusting will affect it.

Yes I did turn scouting off and in the version that I had started looking at he wasn't listed but I think I may initially have had the scouting on when I started the game and then turned it off.

In the game, the Pirates are paying all $12m of Marco Gonzalez's 2024 salary. The Pirates are actually only paying him $2.5m and the Braves are on the book for the other $9.5m

I don't know if it's been mentioned already, but Manny Machado is showing as healthy and playing 3rd base for the Padres. He should be playing DH, and I don't know how you'd sim his injury. A long-lasting day to day? Not sure how the game would record it.

Also, Jackson Merrill is still playing AA, but he went to Korea with them and I'm suspecting he'll be in the game tomorrow.

For Haniger's 2024 salary, the M's are only paying $11m, not the entire $17m the game has.


I think the M's are still on the hook for the entire player option in 2025--I didn't see anything about that.

There is an issue about Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s contract.
2035 salary($28,000,000) and player opt-out after 2031 are missing.

I think the latter issue is due to the fact that one contract can only have one opt-out. Is it impossible to solve?

Eric Lauer has the similar salary issue as Keston Hiura. He's getting paid last years salary from the Brewers, when he was only signed to a minor league deal by the Pirates

Just bumping the above on Isaiah Drake after opening a sim with 100% scouting with the beta patch. His power and speed are the two biggest things that need corrected. Speed especially, as a 6.15 60 is blazing fast.

Also, this is probably reallllly low on the priority list, but he graduated from North Atlanta HS not Westlake.
