ugh. I am playing the stacked team in my division again. got pounded the first game. he has 3 SPs in the top 5 all-star ballot

everyone else i feel my team is competitive against, so hoping for a chance at a wild card

i do have my closer leading the league in saves and my LF is leading the league in SB, so i got that going for me, which is nice

I've messed with the similar modes in The Show/Fifa/Madden over the years, but add the twist you guys have put on it to the fact that OOTP is the only game I've consistently played for what seems like 20 years now, and I think you guys hit the jackpot here.

I go home for an hour on my lunch break to let the dog out, and I jumped on to check my team then too. lol

I'm even giving more love to my solo saves in-between the sims for PT.

I hope they scramble the rookie leagues next week. There's a lot of imbalance across them.

Every team in my division is .500 or better, but I am 6 games up at 42-24. Mike Trout is going to win the MVP and Robbie Erlin is leading in pitching WAR for me.

the stacked teams will likely get promoted, and put into a league with other stacked teams

and if your team gets promoted you'll be in a tougher group. and if your team gets demoted you'll be in an easier group (theoretically anyways)

it may take a 2 or 3 or 4 seasons for everything to shake out, but eventually we'll all be having seasons where we are competitive with the others in the league.

I installed Steam on my work laptop (it's my own laptop, just use it for work) solely to install OOTP to keep an eye on my team. I've never played any of these modes before and I can see now why they're so addictive. I'm sure I'll calm down. I sure hope I calm down.

In good news, after my 2018 Baltimore Oriole-esque start I've recovered, even gone 13-1 in my last 14 games to get up to 30-36 and have one of my players take the lead in the home run race.

I haven't done that on my work laptop yet......trying to avoid that.

You kind of hit on the problem, beta isn't long enough for the current imbalance to shake out. They should have scrambled the entry pools out on Monday instead of keeping those teams together. Since they didn't, the problem will just persist throughout beta if they never scramble teams.

Teams were scrambled; there is no team in my league that was also in my entry pool, unless *everybody* renamed their team except me.

exactly. it just beta. this is how we learn the quirks and bugs of the system. not a big deal

one season a week. there will be plenty of chances for people to have competitive leagues before April

Well, my offense has still not found a groove. I am 3 games over .500 and am actually surprised about that.

I just checked the market and can't really see any obvious improvements that I can make out of those who are available.

Markus confirmed that they weren't randomized and they'd change that for final release.
