Aw man, no release again tonight. Cubby no offense man but can you just be straight up and have a realistic window, I don't really care how long I have to wait for them I just want to know when I can stop staying up every night to try and catch these released. Not to sound too anxious or anything... but I'm really excited for these to come out. Thanks.

They'll get done when they get done. This isn't his business, it's a project that he's simply doing for fun, I believe. Give the guy space.

They'll be out when they're ready. The man has a life outside of these rosters. I'm just happy that we have someone so dedicated to making these rosters every year and is pretty darn good at it too.

I've been waiting on the rosters too, but I haven't downloaded OOTP 2010 yet. I know the 2011 version is out in April, but we don't know when for sure. So now I'm torn: Download '10 with Cubby's rosters when they're ready (hopefully this week) or wait for '11. Having not played the 2010 version, anybody got any recommendations?

lol I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, boys. I was simply asking for a more realistic window because of the fact that I am so anxious for this game, that I keep staying up late at night to wait for the release (or waiting for an update). As a person that used to make rosters for this game as well as various other sport sim games, it is a thankless (and payless) job.

That is one reason why I stopped. No matter how much work gets put in, usually the comments tend to be complaints.

I am sure that whenever it gets done it will be great. good things are worth waiting for.

Exactly. Towards the end when I was really making mods, I took pleasure in educating myself about the eccentric or odd circumstances surrounding the universe (European leagues salaries/rules, Japanese industrial leagues, etc)...but eventually that ran out, and there were just thankless, cranky, needy people who needed more. They're like junkies, who only get high off of the secretions from your soul.

And no matter how awesome or how great Cubby's roster set is every year, every year around this time a thread just like this gets all kinds of those people, like moths to a light, spraying their creepy and sickly juices all over it....

It's all good -- I've been there before, waiting on rosters. No offense taken, of course.

I won't take you guys on a day by day wait, so I'll just keep trying to give updates. Since I didn't get any work done last weekend, put me behind the eight ball here a bit.

Still need to knock out top prospect lists for six teams and then go through and double check for any errors. Should take a few more days. Apologies on the wait.

And these will port over directly to OOTP11 (I'll even release a version for that if it makes it easier) so I wouldn't stress too much about which version you want to play.

Question for you cubby. When you release the set in a few days will that be including everything you said? Or are you still planning on doing a release a few days after the first release.

Only things I won't have time to get to are MLB managers (sorry about that -- I forgot they were wiped when I reimported a new database) and the BA Top 100. The individual team's top 20s are completely accurate as to what they are in real life, but its going to take some tweaking to get the top 100 correct.

I'll release those both in a mini-release a few days after. Just wanted to get the set in your guys hands so you can start finding mess ups.

Also, there are some low, low minors players in the set who were generated with 1 gap ratings for some reason -- I will go back and touch those guys up in the mini-release as well.

After the mini-release, there will be a second big release a few weeks later, thinking right after Opening Day, with ALL minor leaguers re-rated, not just the top 30 prospects.

We are good to go (I swear it this time!) for a weekend release, hopefully by Saturday night, if not sooner.
