No help on the Tech forum and others with the same issue. The thread has thousands of views so I think it is a pervasive problem.

Yes the vets arent worried about the preorder as he will once again hit the date he promised however the new customers dont have a prior relationship with this product. Why not try to make it an enjoyable experience so they come back?

The newbies arent the enemies. This forum is taking a turn for the worst because this stuff keeps happening.

The newbies frustration is warranted because they probably arent used to paying for something without getting updates more than monthly.

Instead of clowing around why dont some of you take their feelings into consideration.

I'd say that's pretty hard to do when said newbie's every post consists of calling everyone who dares to disagree with him dicks, dickwads, stupid, pompous, and so on. And that's just the posts in this thread. There are others.

I also wonder how many warnings a vet saying these same things to a newbie would have by now. Were he held to the same standards as everyone else, Warwick would have been permanently banned from the boards after his fifth or sixth post.

Id agree that his posts were out of line as well.

I just think until they get familiar with the situation we should treat newbs that they are the customer and we are a customer service rep. Try and figure out what exactly gets them so pissy and do the best we can to fix the problem. A lot of times a newbie will complain about something, get told that its not a big deal, piss the newbie off worse and it turns ugly from there.

ignoring the fact that prior posts were flaming me. but, regardless, i owned up to my misdeeds. i've yet to see a single vet give an inch.

EDIT: i'm referring to the vets that have been flaming. i've read several very cool vets.

Could be Vista as you say, I use XP so for sure I can't say. But, for me 9 has worked flawless, not always the case with previous releases.

You make it sound like it did work at one time though? If so, strange it would work and then bug out completely. I have seen threads regarding Vista and know others have had problems for that reason, I think X is being carefully screened for Vista issues, or at least I would think so!

Bummer you can't waste the time away with 9 waiting for X...

I'd say that most everyone in this thread has probably finally chilled out and that it's time to put this baby to bed.

Remember folks, arguing is fine, but please try to do it within the rules. If you're going to post something with offensive name-calling in it, please reconsider and take the words out before you press the submit button. Plenty of people here did fine jobs of representing themselves without having to go that route. I'm sure everyone can if they just try a little harder.
