Excellent work Skydog. Im going to use this QS to start a fictional league, with a 108 game schedule (two thirds of 162). Should I adjust league totals accordingly, or will they be fine as is?

Thanks!

This is true, and there's also elevated offense early on. So basically, you have a double whammy here likely: offense is elevated, and there's a greater potential for variance from the expected norm. For the new QS, I actually simmed 1950-1975 and deleted all of that history because of the elevated offense. Simming those 25 seasons purges the player talent pool and gives a fully drafted-and-developed league. The history that's in the QS starts in 1976, and therefore matches up with the expectations.

I've never tested anything apart form 162, but my assumption is that you should not change the totals at all.

How do the developmental changes affect the development of college aged players? If development is slowed down, does that mean they won't be ready until they are 25 or so, or will it adversely affect them by slowing down their development so much that they never fully develop since they enter the game world at such a late age?

The better college prospects are still hitting the bigs at age 24 and younger. I haven't studied it carefully, but it *seems* like college prospects start out further along, and therefore are just fine.

All that should matter is that the ratios are the same.

SkyDog - thanks so much for doing all this work. Can we get a link to the World Template? I downloaded the newest Quickstart you put up (the one with the RonCo settings) - holy crap that file was LARGE. My computer took some time to unzip all of it. Did you know you included 20 years of stats and history with that QS?

Same problem. Game can't load world.dat file, which is clearly present in the quickstart folder. I'm using a Mac, but I don't see why that would be the issue...?

Idea of the quickstart is great - keep up the good work!

Yeah, I'm still waiting for a response that will help me solve the problem. However, it's not a big deal since I'm waiting for patch #2 before starting anything of importance.

Is there a template for the 24 team NABA available so I can start my own league? I'd like for the RonCo againg modifiers to be included also. Maybe this already exists. I want to start a NABA league with no history. Is this possible?

No idea what might be causing it. I'll try re-zipping it this evening when I get home.

Manooly, check the link to FOFC. You can always download the QS and then erase all the included history.

Sorry - I see my mistake. My download worked absolutely fine as a league file - i.e. copied into the save game folder and chose load game - but not as a quickstart - copied into the quickstart folder and accessed by 'new quickstart game'.

Looks super, Skydog. Great work.

No prob. It wasn't terribly difficult to do, and ending up with a league that makes sense in terms of divisional alignments and team nicknames with logos and facegen has really helped my immersion.

And the stats certainly don't hurt, either. OOTP with default settings really does a fantastic job of generating the once-in-generation type player. I like that with these settings, that type of player produces at a level I can relate to.

Great work Skydog, really saved me a lot of time setting up a fictional league, much appreciated.

Just curious, what is your reasoning for not using the complete coaching/manager system? Will it throw my player development off from the norms if I decide to turn it on?

I don't think it will change things too much. I don't use it because it's just too much tedium for my tastes.
