Fulham beats Liverpool 1-0!
Clint Dempsey's first Premiership goal is likely going to go down as the one that keeps the Cottagers up. |

They think it's all over - it is now, Boston are out of the league. Deservedly they go down as Wrexham stay up, and Dagenham & Redbridge come up to replace them.

Oxford was very lucky to win their first leg on the road so those fubes are likely in the final.

Wigan will be hoping that Aston Villa do something they seemingly have forgotten how to do: Win.

I expect the Premiership are pleased that West Ham and Fulham look to be safe now. If only they could keep Charlton in as well. The more London teams the better in their, and the media's, eyes.

Terrible performance by Wigan today, but what angered me most was the fact that they just didn't seem to care that we are going down and if they play like that against Sheffield United it wont matter what happens at Old trafford.

Aston Villa are dominating Sheffield but they cant seem to put one in the goal. Its as if Wigan has been cursed.

I've seen darker days at Wigan so if we go down it wont be a massive jolt to the system and we have enough money to come straight back up. |

Vidic may be the best defender in the EPL now.

Speaking of conspiracy theories
What odds can you give me on SU taking things into their own hands and not going out 100% for the points vs Wigan? Why has no-one threatened any action against Liverpool and UEFA for the signing of a player who had already played for two teams this season? Not even Chelsea has complained about them changing the rule for this one incident. West Ham were judged to have done something wrong and were punished. End of. People don't like drink-drivers killing someone and then getting a short sentence but when it's done it's done. If the title is wrapped up, I can see the Hammers getting something next week anyway with the play of Tevez.

Forget what I said - they can't rely on West Ham losing at OT, they have to play.

One reason why ties are bad: Aston Villa has 16 of them..turn 3 of those into wins and they are in the running for a shot at next years UEFA Cup.

Sheffield United have something to play for next week as if they lose to Wigan by 4 or more goals (think this is right) then they will go down even if West ham lose at Old Trafford so doesn't look good for Wigan, if say Sheff Utd are drawing 0-0 with Wigan and West Ham are losing comfortably against Man Utd say 2-0 3-0 then yes I can see a Sheff Utd defender losing concentration and Wigan scoring a winner
Personally though the way Wigan have been playing these past few games they could get a penalty in the last minute and the Sheff Utd goalie dives the wrong way on purpose and they will still miss, I don't mind watching a team that isn't good enough but what I hate is players who don't try because as far as I'm concerned there is no excuse for not giving 100%. |
