The Our League S278 pennant race came down to the final game, with Port Ruppert visiting the Sanguine Classics, who had frittered away any margin for error with a disastrous sason-ending run. Their tumble began when they dropped 3-of-4 at home to Terra Incognita, including a no-hit gem by the Rustlers' Jose Rijo, the second in Our League history. The Classics' outlook seemed (dare I say it?), less than sanguine. Port Ruppert, however, visited Harlem and took 2-of-3 from the Hatchets, and, in fact, took a two-run lead into the bottom of the 9th in game 3, before George "High Pockets" Kelly clubbed a three-run homer that eventually turned out to be a "crowning" achievement.

After their home woes, Sanguine traveled to Glorious Mundy Stadium to take 2-of-3 from Port Ruppert and the sun shone again. The Classics needed just one home win against the Mundys to earn their first Our League crown. After twin, 4-3, losses it came down to the final game of the year. Port Ruppert pounded out a 12-3 lead, and then survived a frantic Sanguine comeback effort to win, 12-8, and turned George Kelly's homer into a title-winning legend. Harlem had its second Our League crown.

Almost lost in chatter of of the story above was the Palolo Puppies sizzling 7-and-2 stretch run that vaulted them into second, just .0004 behind Harlem.

The final standings:
just noticed Silver standings are missing Terra Incognita (41-37 for the season)

edit: also the Hatchets have moved on to the Silver LCS, so they will be shifting to Gold league next season. There will be no Our League relegations out of Silver.

Oops

Cut them out to move them in the standings, but I guess I forgot the paste part. Thanks.

Four Horsemen of Our League

Since they've been scattered through the thread, I thought I'd put them up together.

Question

Anyone know if Cooper and Philadelphia met in the playoffs in B257?

and just a small housekeeping note for overall results/etc.... going back in the thread, I can't find a posting of the final w/l records for the Silver league in 2024 (last season); so the online/google spreadsheet is missing those numbers.... everything else should be updated with all regular season results / highlights for each tier victor....

They slumped badly at home, losing 6 of 7 in the friendly confines. Your guys nearly pulled it out.

Here's 2024. In the playoffs, Annadale beat Terra Incognita in the wild card.

We blew it in the end. But we had our best season yet in Silver so we will have to be happy with that

Don't forget to manage your list to get the 30 you're most likely to see soon, and make sure to hit submit team when you finish and before you log out of the game. See you next year.

the only tier change I have so far is Harlem moving from Silver to Gold.... anyone else moving up/down next season?

and in the 'sometimes good things happen if you just ignore em' category.... my other team (which has been just pack-only so far as I haven't come up with a theme for them) will be playing in their Bronze league championship in an hour.... not bad for an 82-80 team

so the Parakeets lost 3-2 in the NLDS in Diamond, so they will stay put --- nail biter of series, Parakeets only lost last game in the eighth inning. Hope somebody from gold will move up so we can have a true Diamond Our League Championship next season. Anybody know whether any of them are moving up?

Wilbur Wood and Roberto Hernandez combine for a 5-hit shutout and the Hatchets escape game 7 and advance to the Silver Finals in S278.
