3 games @ A's. We are 5-1 vs the A's this season. We are on a 7 game winning streak and have Garret Jackson back for this series. They are 5-5 in their last 10. They have played better the last several weeks bu are still pretty much out of contention. Price has 5 SH in his last 8 GS.

A's proved to more of a challenge to us then we thought they would be taking 2 of 3 from us. Pittsburgh Pirates overtook us for total homeruns by 2. We play them on Monday.
Let the RBI watch start. Brett ranks 24th all time right now in single season RBI at 160. He needs 32 to break Hack Wilson's record that has stood for almost 90 years. Sox have 39 games left. With the fat we are playing some poor pitching teams like the Rays, indians & Arrows I think he can get to 173 by the end of the month. When Arashikage comes back that should help him from being pitched around & IBB.

"Little Hurt" is the son of former White Sox 1B Frank "Big Hurt" Thomas. He is very similar to his father. He is the 2014 AL Rookie Of the year, a 3 time All Star and a Gold Glove 1B, something his father never won. Sterling was suspended in 2018 by MLB for 50 games for PED use, which has tarnished his image. While his father was no golden child, he is still beloved by almost all White Sox faithful. Sterling hangs with fellow son of a former MLer Garret Jackson. The 2 have been friends since they were kids.

2019 Update. Sterling is having an off year. Could it be because he is no longer juicing? Either way the Sox have publicly stated that he will not be resigned.

Good week. I feared that we might get swept by the Pirates. We only lost one game. Mack had a walk off hit in Game 2. Looking forward to getting the final week of August over with. Charlotte Knights are leading the wildcard in the international League so I dont know if Baines plans on calling up anyone until they finish. Rumor has it we will bring up 5-10 players. Players who will replace are upcoming FA's.
Brett is inching closer to Hack.

Jerome Hopkins is a 20 year veteran. Jerome was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1996 Amateur draft. He has played for teh reds, Blue Jays, Phillies, Nationals & White Sox. After injuring his leg in 2011 he has been more of a backup then a starter. He grew up as a White Sox fan since his family is from Chicago originally. Carlton Fisk is his all time favorite player.

2019 Update: Hopkins passed Mike Piazza last year to become the all time HR king as a Catcher. This year he has seen more playing time as the backup to Hicks and has had a good season overall. He plans on retiring after this year.
