Jerome Hopkins is a 20 year veteran. Jerome was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1996 Amateur draft. He has played for teh reds, Blue Jays, Phillies, Nationals & White Sox. After injuring his leg in 2011 he has been more of a backup then a starter. He grew up as a White Sox fan since his family is from Chicago originally. Carlton Fisk is his all time favorite player.

Glenbard's Bob Bellias will miss the rest of the season.
Vader's Charlie Hustle will be out for a few weeks.
Cleveland fired MGR Robin Ventura. I thought is was as bad as Wade Boggs playing for the Yankees.
Dan Toner is injured for the 3rd consecutive season.

Plouffe is a good signing for Stryper. He had a good year last year and 2B Jon Barry is finally coming into his own with the Red Devils. Gives them a solid offense.
Laurence pitched a CG SH vs the Brewers. Just masterful.

Great week for these guys. Even my great Endor City Capitals teams weren't this dominant. Offense, defense, pitching while missing 3 key players. I am in awe of this team in my 1st week.

How Acq: Drafted in the 1st round 2014 Amateur draft.
Steve, Foster that is as there are 4 Steve's on this team Came up with the Sox during a time that GM Kenny Williams was rebuilding the team from the ground up. While his numbers are not impressive, bad defense and a lack of offense led to most of his troubles. Steve and his brother Mike, who plays for their hometown Reds, grew up in Cincinnati. Steve is not related to former Reds pitcher Steve Foster. Steve and his brother were exceptional athletes.
Steve's biggest influence since being with the Sox is former Sox ace Jack McDowell. Steve believes that this team is as good as the 1993 team and mirrors them in many ways. 4 solid SP, solid pen and good offense. Also the fact that Bo Jackson & Frank Thomas were on that '93 team and this team has their sons Garret & Sterling on it makes sense. Steve has improved in each of his 4 seasons with the Sox.Steve throws a good fastball, split and Forkball while throwing a curve on occasion.

KC has the injuries mounting up. Losing Taylor for a few weeks is gonna hurt them.
Tom Petson is having a heck of a year. 1st 10-0 start since Bob Bellias in 2012.
X-Wings will be without Charlie Morton for most of the season.
Seems Wil Myers gets injured every year.

3 games vs the Cubs.
3 of my nephews play for this team. Lamont Morris' lil brother Earl is in CF. They are underachieving. They are led by 3B Chad Antonini, AJ Pantaleo, Earl Morris & Alex King.

Screwball has had 2 15K + performances so far this year but his ERA is really high for him.
Arashikage is really impressive.
MacGruder is done for the season. Don't know how much this will hurt their playoff chances.
Another OF injury for the Sox. Short who is the 4th OF is injured. Baines called up Keenyn Walker from AAA. 28 ys old never played in the majors.

Rays lose Vettleson for awhile.
Boomers will be without Mike Randolph for several weeks.
Rangers lose SS Jim DeLuna for a few weeks.

Very good week. Struggled vs the Cubs on Friday losing ion 10 then winning in 10 on Saturday. My former SP (from Willowbrook) Brad Stupec pitched great against us. Hopefully we win 2 of 3 vs them wearing out 1983 tribute uniforms on Sunday. Should have Trapp back in a few days.

How Acq: Drafted in the 3rd rd 2012.
Nick has been a solid part of the rotation going into his 4th season. Nick is from South Central LA. He grew up gang banging until he met Trayvon Robinson and changed his life around. Nick pals around with Garret Jackson & Sterling Thomas. He is prone to giving up teh long ball but can strike out almost anyone. He recently threw the 1st White Sox No Hitter since Wilson Alvarez in 1991.

3 games @ Reds. Reds are leading NL North. Led by Jay Bruce and his 256 career HR. SP Steve Jones, MR Mike Foster, (Steve Fosters brother) & SP Matt Cain.

Nick Simmons pitched great vs the Cubs.
Duggleby wins NL POTW.
Cubs 3B Chad Antonini was injured on Sunday vs the White Sox and will be out for a month.
Milwaukee loses Kershaw fora few weeks.
Brett his an inside the park HR @ Cincy.

4 games vs the Pirates. Gonna be interesting playing these guys in the AL. They will also be the 1st team the Sox have played with a winning record since I became BC. Pirates are led by Gregor Polanco, Leo Castillo, Gerrit Cole & Josh E. Bell.

Glenbard will be without Nick Sullivan for 2 weeks. He is having a great season.
The NL South leading Astros will be without Alex Honeybun for a month.
White Sox 1B Steve Arashikage wins POTM.
Wilbur Duggleby wins the NL POTM
Sox SP Steve Michaels wins the Pitcher of the Month award.

Arashikage wins AL Rookie of the Month.
Cubs CF Earl Morris wins the NL Rookie of the Month award.
Atlanta Muscle SP Tom Petson wins the EBL NL Pitcher of the Month Award.

Sox won out to finish the month and went 24-5 in May losing each Thursday game and 1 game on a Tuesday. As i have said before, most dominant team I have ever been a part of. The MVP, Cy Young & ROTY will most likely come from this team. And to think this team isn't even at full strength. Morris wont be back for another week or 2 and rookie 3B Fred Jones is struggling.
Get to see some division leaders in May.

White Sox have the best record in the AL while the Mets have the best record in the NL. The rest of the AL is weak and close. The NL seems to be the better league with San Fran & Houston being good also.

Monument Plaza has the best record in the CBF. As always the Wildcard is a tight race this early.

No surprise on any of the EBL division leaders. None of the races are close.

A look at the EBL AL East division leading Atlantis Sharks. They are improved over last year with rookie standout 3B Justin Jussim who won the AL Rookie of the month award. Oko won the Player of the Month award. This team has a lot of speed having JJ Wellington batting 6th. They do not have much power outside of Oko & Marvin Smith.

The Battle Droids look very dominant leading the CBF Dark Side in most categories. Cf George Springer leads the team in all offensive stats. While their pen has some weaknesses CL Hall is having a great year.

Eddie Skylar who is one of the now 6 members of the rock group the Camero's has been in MLB since 2006, the same year that band mates Chuck D'Zinnik, Tom Falcone, Wilbur Duggleby & Jerome Smith debuted. He is from Pittsburgh and was drafted by his hometown team in 2004. (Skylar is a clone of Jeff Kent) After 3½ seasons in Pittsburgh he was traded to the Padres for MR Roberto Alfaro & SS Luis Miguel Otero. After 3½ seasons with the Padres he signed with the Miami Marlins to play along side Chuck D'Zinnik.He returned to his hometown Pirates to start the 2017 season. He has had a mix of good and bad seasons but never staying 100% healthy. He is a 1 time all star. He has been to the playoffs 3 times (no clue why is shows both MLB & CBF in 2015).
