Mashing Series: Game 7 - #3 Great Raft Reasonably Corrupt vs #3WC Charleville Half Wits
Charleville completes reverse sweep! Few gave much hope to Charleville after they dropped the first three games of the seven game series. Then they won game 4 to avoid the sweep. And then they won game 5 to creep a little closer. And then they won game 6 to even up the series. They rolled into the deciding game with all the momentum and didn't waste it, as A.J. Conley homered in the first inning to grab a 1-0 lead. Then Rodolfo Alegria homered in the second inning to make it 2-0. Matt Willingham cranked a 2 run homer in the 4th to make it 4-0. The Half Wits would build up their lead to 8-0 before Great Raft managed to get on the board. The Reasonably Corrupt attempted to make a comeback, but only clawed back 4 runs before the final out and a stunning reversal of fortune as Charleville completed the reverse sweep to advance to the Fermentation Series. |
