Milling Series: Game 4 - #4 Tattered Flag Man of War vs #1WC Three Floyds Apocalypse Cow
Three Floyds sink Man of War in four games An unlikely hero emerged for Three Floyds in their series as they pushed across 9 runs on only 6 hits in a 9-2 series clinching win over Tattered Flag. Light hitting backup catcher T.J. Cottie (0 home runs in 306 regular season at bats) went 2-for 4 at the plate... both home runs, and drove in 5 of the 9 runs to power his club into the Mashing Series. Apocalpyse Cow second baseman Jorge Gonzalez was awarded series MVP (9-for18, .500 average) Last edited by stl jason; 01-07-2021 at 11:15 PM. |

Milling Series: Game 5 - #4 Boulder Killer Penguin vs #1WC Meadowlark Mob Barley
Mob Barley prevails in series clincher While technically the underdog with the top wild card spot, Meadowlark was favored by the odds makers to advance to the Mashing Series and they didn't let them down. The Mob Barley used a single inning (top of the fourth) to score all four of their runs (including a 3 run homer by Danny Vargas), and then rode a tag-team effort by six different pitchers (Miller, Hill, Antunez, Salinas, Lewis and Rodriguez) to limit Boulder to 3 hits and 3 runs to close out the series 3 games to 2. Meadowlark will face off against juggernaut killer Goose Island Goslings, after their stunning take-down of 128-win Weyerbacher in their opening series. |

Mashing Series: Game 1 - #1 Terrapin Hopsecutioner vs #1WC Three Floyds Apocalypse Cow
Terrapin snatches victory from the jaws of defeat Three Floyds carried a 3-1 lead late into the game, hoping to grab a quick road win in the opening game of the Mashing Series. Unfortunately for Apocalypse Cow fans, two big swings in the bottom of the 8th (solo homer by Hector Davila and a 2-run blast by Kurt Kane) suddenly turned the game around and gave Terrapin a 4-3 lead. Closer Mark Whiteside would finish out the 9th and pick up the save as the Hopsecutioner took a 1-0 lead in the series. |

Mashing Series: Game 1 - #1WC Meadowlark Mob Barley vs #4WC Goose Island Goslings
Mob Barley tames Goslings to take game 1 Being a wild card team, Meadowlark wasn't expecting to have home field advantage should they advance out of the first round, but they enjoyed some home cooking to open up the Mashing Series. The Mob Barley mashed out 11 hits and 5 runs en route to a 5-3 game 1 victory. |

Mashing Series: Game 1 - #3 Great Raft Reasonably Corrupt vs #3WC Charleville Half Wits
Opatz dominant in Great Raft win Reasonably Corrupt ace starter Jason Opatz showed his colors as he tossed a solid 7 innings in the opening game of their Mashing Series matchup, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, with no walks and 8 strikeouts as he did his part to help his team win game 1 over Charleville. A two run homer from shortstop Bruce Nall in the fourth inning was all the runs they would need as Opatz and closer Dustin Lamoreux held the Half Wits to a single run. |

Mashing Series: Game 2 - #1 Terrapin Hopsecutioner vs #1WC Three Floyds Apocalypse Cow
Walk-off stunner gives Hopsecutioner 2-0 series lead Three Floyds carried a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 9th, needing just three outs to tie up the series and head home to The Corral with home field advantage. After a quick strikeout, Terrapin closer Kunifusa Yamamoto walked Danny Ortega, then surrendered a base hit to Edwin Morales to put the winning run on first base. Antonio Argueta came in to pinch hit and stroked a 1-1 pitch into the right field corner. Ortega scored easily from second. Morales motored around the bases, through a stop sign from the third base coach and sprinted home with the game winning run to give Terrapin the win and a 2 games to none lead. |

Mashing Series: Game 2 - #3 Great Raft Reasonably Corrupt vs #3WC Charleville Half Wits
Roller coaster game ends with Great Raft victory It started out as a pitcher's duel for the first four innings and ended with a back and forth slugfest. After Charleville picked up a run in the top of the 5th, Great Raft struck back in the bottom of the 6th, with a 2-run double by Rich Olmos. They picked up another run in the bottom of the 7th to take a 3-1 lead into the 8th inning. In the 8th, Charleville slugger A.J. Conley came up to the plate with two runners aboard and promptly cleared the bases with a 3 run homer to vault the Half Wits into a 4-3 lead. That lead lasted exactly a half inning as Great Raft slugger Sergio Araujo tied the game with a solo blast. Before the crowd had a chance to sit back down, Rich Olmos stepped up and cranked a solo blast of his own to retake the lead 5-4. The bullpen would make that lead hold up and Great Raft staked a 2 games to none lead in the series. |
