Eugene Silver's first home run of the season was a big one as it gave the Blue Jays the lead that they never gave up, leading to a 4-3 win over the Royals.

Jose Martinez made his major league debut, pitching a perfect 9th for the save.

Talk about a big debut for new Jay, D.J. Hicks! His four plate appearances were, in order, two-run homer, solo homer, double and run, walk.
Fellow newcomer, Andrew Toles, only hit one home run, but it was a Grand Slam!

The Jays smoked the Royals, 9-0.

A few days ago the Jays turned over nearly half of their starting lineup. Last game, two of them homered. Today, the other two (Jeimer Candelaria & Raymel Flores), did the same.

Unfortunately today it was in a 7-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Luis Rodriguez left the game with pain in his shoulder but the rest of the Blue Jays pulled together and managed a 5-3 win over the Yankees! Christian Bethancourt went 3 for 3 and Victor Vazquez and Joey Holloway both homered.

It is unclear how serious the injury to Rodriguez is at this time.
