Well, a judgement error, but not a coding error.

Pretty much. Unfortunately, by the time I saw that thread yesterday it had already been locked so I couldn't mention how I basically raised that idea/issue during development.

Well, my idea was that it was optional.

You'd have three possible logo sizes: 150x150, 100x100, and 50x50 (I counted something like eight different sizes at which logos were displayed on various game screens). Everywhere a team logo is displayed, it'd be in one of those three fixed sizes. There are only one or two screens where it is 150x150; most screens show it at 100x100 and a few at 50x50. My idea behind this was to avoid having to have the 150x150 logo constantly scaled in the game to fit the space allotted to it on a given screen since at that time the scaling code hadn't really been written.

If all you had was the 150x150 logo, then by default that size would be scaled down as needed to fit screens as needed. But if you created a dedicated 100x100 or 50x50 size logo, then and only then would the game use those files and display those logo files on the appropriate screen.

So, if space was an issue, just have the main 150x150 size logo and the game will scale as required. But if you wanted to have a secondary team logo, then you create a new file at 100x100 and the game would then use it since it was now available. Kind of like how player photos aren't used until there are actually player photo files to use.

I just like the idea of having the team logo sizes being consistent on the game screens rather than being in the hodgepodge of sizes they are currently in. I also liked how the option of secondary team logos gave logo creators a nice, new twist to work with, plus it made for a bit more visual variety on the game screens.

First off, I totally dig the new interface! And yes, of course there is always room for improvements, but I'm confident that Markus and Co. will eventually get to those, as has been the case in the past. I am satisfied right now and whatever else comes in the future (and I know it will) will be gravy.

Also, I quite agree with Eugene's suggestion for displaying last year's stats, which are generally more pertinent than a player's career stats (particularly in the case of the more seasoned players).

Further, is there anything that we can do about the generic batter's stirrups (or lack thereof)? I hate that new look and just dig it when players yank their uni's up old-style (Chipper Jones, Jim Thome, etc.) I started watching baseball back in the early 80's when everyone had visible stirrups. I hope they don't eventually go the way of the dodo.

Oh, and I'm glad to see that Syd has still kept my PM to him as his sig. I was in particularly good form that night. . . .

Then you wouldn't be calling it the same thing.

Graphical error is different from judgement error.

But, I don't care. I only brought it up because I felt like reminding you.

I don't know if this has already been suggested since the 1.03 release, but on the webcast screen it would sure be helpful if baserunner names and info on the ballfield rendering displayed in a different color than the defensive players.

Also, in the stat parts of the screen, it would be helpful if the current year and current game stats stood out from all the others in some way, either by color or by font or some other way.

Just suggestions I will post in the appropriate place elsewhere in this forum. I post it here since many don't frequent that part of the forum.

It's been suggested, and making it again will increase the volume for a good idea.
