I've made all the ltrans fixes that have been mentioned on the boards and everything goes fine until near the end of the HTML generation. I keep getting the "Error 3021: Either BOF or EOF is True..." error when Cato gets to generating the Team Positional Charts (Atlanta is the first team.)
I opened up the Access database and 2018 didn't import into the TeamPosChart table like every other year and Atlanta has an extra entry with 0 for the Year. Any ideas how this might of happened? I'm stumped. The JOBL has run 17 seasons with Catobase and no errors until this season. I'll have some mighty sad owners if I can't get this fixed. (Including me!) Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have seen this on a few occasions. Just delete the record, but make sure it is not for a valid year, check all the years of the league and make sure atlanta has them all. If not just delete the last seasons from the catobase program menu, rerun with the option set to do all years and recalculate winshares. This will work.

Just remember to do one season at a time using the CSV files and not importing with the exporter.... If your first bad season was the last season it is easy. Delete the season from the catobase menu and rerun the import and export, but if it goes back further you must delete all seasons to that point, then load one at a time the csv files from the year folder to the data folder and rerun the import with the use exporter option set to no... |

Thanks for the tips. I tried this last night, but with no luck.
It is the most recent season (2018), so that is good. I deleted it through the Catobase menu and re-ran import/export process through the Catobase. I still get the same error, however, when I get to the HTML generation of the Team Positional Charts. I checked the Access DB again and same deal: ATL entries with 0 for the year. They (the entries with 0) are definitely the 2018 ATL team too (players match). I also checked every other year and all others are present. What CSV files does the Team Position table pull from? I wonder if there is a problem with those files... Maybe I could try opening the league in 6.12 and running Catobase from that file to see if that helps. Worst case I guess I could hand enter all team positional charts, then try running the HTML... Thanks again, Sandman... you've at least given me and the league hope that this can be fixed!

In other words I wanted to delete the 2004 season, but when I went to delete it from Catobase pulldown I noticed that 2005, 2006, 2007, etc.. were in there as well. Once I deleted all seasons beyond and including the most recent, all went well. Still don't know why they were there, but they were. It may not help, but it will at least be one thing to rule out.

A little update on my error:
Checked the Fielding table... Found a bunch of current season players with 0 for the year. Deleted them and re-imported. All teams/players imported into this table seemingly correctly. Then checked TeamPost Chart after making the above change. All teams are there now. Everything looks (seemingly) OK. Also checked the FldStarters table... here is where the weirdness happens. All teams in the FL (team ids 1-8) were imported correctly. The rest of the teams (9-16) did not import for 2018. Team ID 9 is ATL, which just happens to be where the HTML generation sticks during the Team Positional Charts. So it seems like something happened with ATL during the fielding import. And I still get the same error during HTML generation... Now I'm not sure why the Team Positional Charts don't generate now that the table is finally (seemingly) correct. But the whole FldStarters thing has me confused too. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... for now, I guess I'll be checking out the fielding CSVs, specifically ATL.

You need to download and install the Microsoft NET framework. See the docs in my Sig for the link.

Atlanta was the first team in the other league processed so my guess would be that once the 0 year records are deleted from the table and all tables that have 0 year records it should process from the csvs all right. Just make sure that you don't re-run the import with the exporter option on.. Turn this off and copy the csvs from the 2018 folder into the data folder. Then from the menu delete the 2018 season and rerun the import with the exporter option off..... if this fails again then do the same process but look at the csv files within excel. Look specifically at the Atlanta records first... Hope this helps... |

One more question. By changing all of the =r's to =p's will that make all of the players who had =r's in the game not retired anymore?

-just make sure the next line after a trade is on it's own line, -there is a < br > tag after the last line in a trade, -there is a < p > tag after the last line in a trade, or -something else? (I added the spaces in the tags for them to show up in my post.) Thanks, Bruce, and everyone else for flushing out these problems for the rest of us. BTW, for those doing this on their own I'd suggest first making a copy of your ltrans.txt and renaming it something like ltrans-original.txt (and just in case you save it prematurely with the changes, do the same with lalltrans.txt to ltrans-original.txt). Then do your changes to lalltrans.txt and save it as ltrans.txt. If you do what the others said you might get the same result, but I think it's less likely to make a mistake you can't easily recover from this way and you'll be able to keep the original ltrans.txt.

Jdettbarn,
I had the exact same problem as you do with Catobase...it came after 17 seasons, during the positional charts, and with ATL as well. Let me know if you figure out how to fix it. |

As for the retired players signing with another team, I've yet to see it with 6.5b, so I'm inclined to believe Markus fixed the problem. However that is only my experience with my own leagues. If you are finding that it is still occuring, then it probably should be looked at again by Markus. |

Another glutton for punishment here.
I can't figure out what the "Data Directory" in the Catobase options refers to, and what is supposed to be in there. First it told me league.csv wasn't there, so I ran Commish joe's exporter and dumped the results in there. Now it's telling me lnews* isn't there either. Any suggestions? |
