You just find a famous person, landmark and so on, examples of the names I gave some teams in my baseball league were, Digby Scallops - Digby is famous for scallops, Elko Trappers - first people to use the land where Elko is were fur trappers, San Francisco Missions - oldest building in San Fran is the mission.

I was almost entirely joking...personally Id think it might be easier to find another nickname for Athens than Kyiv unless youve already settled on Angles...but whatever you pick doesnt matter much to me.

About a month to finally get the list of towns that where on the rail routes of the Union Pacific, Central Pacific and other railroads around the early 1900's then to get nicknames and stadium names for each of the towns and throw in the work of the logo guys knuckler and reds who came up with the logos for the teams and leagues.
