Are you going for all proper spellings? Maybe Cologne should be Koln with the umlauts.
No, I'm using the English spellings. And anyway, Cologne don't have a team anymore (there were three in Germany to start with).

I'm a Boro fan anyway, but I'm glad to see Man U beating out Chelsea right now. Lesser of two evils for me.

Calling a Kiev team Raiders would pretty much be like having a New York team called New York Bombers or New York Terrorists, as Kievs history isn't one of being raiders but of having been raided on numerous occasions through history.

I'd go with say Kiev Engineers (Czech engineers is one of the stories behind football finding it's way to the Ukraine) 1928 Kiev (A take on 1860 Munich, 1928 is the year Kiev played their first game), SC Kiev (Dynamo Kiev started of as a sports club) or nstead of having the initials of sports club you could have Sporting Kiev or Sports Club Kiev or something on those lines.

The Orioles should be Baltimore Homeless Crack Heads. That probably won't make it either.

Randy Newman really nailed the city with his classic 'Baltimore'.

Beat up little seagull
On a marble stair
Tryin' to find the ocean
Lookin' everywhere

Hard times in the city
In a hard town by the sea
Ain't nowhere to run to
There ain't nothin' here for free

Hooker on the corner
Waitin' for a train
Drunk lyin' on the sidewalk
Sleepin' in the rain

And they hide their faces
And they hide their eyes
'Cause the city's dyin'
And they don't know why

Oh Baltimore
Man it's hard just to live
Oh, Baltimore
Man, it's hard just to life, just to live

Get my sister Sandy
And my little brother Ray
Buy a big old wagon
To haul us all away

Live out in the country
Where the mountain's high
Never comin' back here
'Til the day I die

Oh, Baltimore
Man, it's hard just to live
Oh, Baltimore
Man, it's hard just to live, just to live

Some that would suit a baseball team more are.

Kiev Rivermen - Located on the Dnieper River.

Kiev Reds - Fits many ways with the Russian history but Red Stadium was the first stadium which is said to have been host to Kiev's first game.

Kiev Angels - Statue of Michael Archangel is at the centre of the city and is the historical protector of Kiev.

If you wanted logos would be easy for you to get logos for those teams.

I like these. Thanks.
I've already got Horsemen though for Saint Petersburg, so it might be Angels to be a bit different.

I was trying to find who Kiev was twinned with, but I can't find any other than Edinburgh.
It would be good if it was Anaheim or Los Angeles, like I did with Milan's team.

For anyone interested, here is the team list:
Code:
Atlantic League Continental League
North North
Amsterdam Pirates Copenhagen Chill
Dublin Shamrocks Kyiv _______
London Ravens Moscow Warriors
Manchester Storm Saint Petersburg Horsemen
Rotterdam Dockers Stockholm Royals

South South
Barcelona Catalans Athens Capitals
Berlin Bears Milan Cubs
Dusseldorf Dragons Prague Bohemians
Madrid Conquistadores Rome Gladiators
Paris Patriots Zurich Eagles

Great set of names SDPM..I would only change the Pirates to London because most of the most famous pirates were English.

Trolley Dodgers the way the fans got to the stadium to watch the team, that's what the fans were called. Always remember that one as it's pretty much right at the start of the Ken Burns series on baseball.

Thanks, but most of them came from people posting in my dynasty thread, or me just nicking them from real-life teams, like the Amsterdam Pirates (it also goes well with the city's NFL Europe team, the Admirals).

The London team were originally called Olympics as a tie-in with the 2012 Olympic Games, and then the Yankees when George Steinbrenner bought them.

I can come up with them all day, I did a solo league set up with around 100 towns in America using a back drop of the first railways in America and Canada. So got used to looking up what a town or city was famous for, let me tell you it gets easy trying to find a name for Kiev when you've found a nickname for a town in America that as a population of about 150
