Unfortunately, I missed a series between Wilmington and Savannah due to the fact that the "+" label on those two teams didn't show up for me on my team schedules tables for some reason. Didn't catch it until they actually played the series against each other yesterday. As it turns out then, both teams qualify with more than 10 games, and that changes the makeup of the standings.

Wilmington, Columbia and Savannah thus hold the top 3 positions with Columbia in the driver's seat as to whether they can take the championship in their last 9 games today. 6 wins will give them the Cup.

Baltimore has only one chance, and that is to win all 3 games against Columbia this morning.

Savannah is the only team currently slotted for Relegation, but Terra Incognita is 1 game from the limit.

Long Beach has a firm grip on the OL I187 trophy, with Holy City remaining as the only team with a prayer left. The only path left for the Hurricanes would be to sweep the Landsharks in their mid-September 3-game tussle, then take at least 5 of 6 from Eden Prairie. Those three teams remain among the top 4 teams in the entire league.

Meanwhile, Austin is keeping it weird in the relegation zone.

One would assume that Holy City has a surfeit of prayer.

Alas, their prayers were answered. (He said, "Nope.")

The title goes to Long Beach. Full stats and report sometime tomorrow.

It was a really close finish. Holy City put on the heat and almost pulled it out.

Diamond League

Congratulations to the Port Ruppert Mundys!

Aomori very quickly confirmed the Mundys as champs, with a tight, low-scoring 3-game sweep of the Tinners. Mount Hawke and Port Ruppert then split their remaining 6 games, which were inconsequential by then, but a chance for the Mundys to play in a carnival atmosphere.

Aomori will represent OL in the playoffs, after a fine solid season. Good luck!

The rest of us survived, and Mount Hawke kept me guessing in a very odd week.

Bronze

Coney Island struggled against Brooklyn, dropping three-of-four, and fell by the wayside in the crown chase. SaukCentre, seeming to sense Warrior blood on the water, viciously rampaged through the final month like their maritime namesakes, going 12-4, including five-of-seven road games against fellow contender Aceldama, which had led their season series until then. Congrats to the Landsharks. No teams will be relegated.

Gold league:

A solid final month for Claptown catapulted them over Waffletown (who had a dismal September run... figures) to claim the OL crown.

Overall Claptown, New York, and Los Angeles make the post season. Waxhaw and Colorado Springs will head back to Silver

OL Gold Champions 2030 Claptown Maniacs

I feel bad that they played along with Waffletown's cliched unlucky run in...

There's a rebranding coming for Claptown next week.

The Columbia Cougars sprint to the finish line and win the 2030 OL Silver Championship. They needed 6 wins in the last month and got exactly 6 of their last 9 games - including 2 of 3 from Baltimore which ended the Baron's chances.

Baltimore grabbed a Wildcard spot in the playoffs, but stands almost no chance to get Promoted.

Savannah and Terra Incognita will be relegated to Iron.

Coney Island pulled two historical diamonds from their packs, both relief pitchers. Dave LaRouche and Bill Henry. For now I have placed both on the active roster. The Warriors bullpen this past week was the least of the problems. Would have been better off with a starter or a bat with some pop.

Though they may well deserve to go further down, they will both be banished to Bronze.

Plenty of room to spare. The PT junk goes into a cardboard trunk up in the attic. Only Our League hardware is on display.

No worries! Did you download the pics I posted on page 34? Thought you may want the text for your shirts, and the textless shark for your caps.
