Lager League: Pilsner Division - Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot - continuing their relentless assault towards a second consecutive championship, Weyerbacher went 23-5 for the month and reduced their magic number to just 7 games heading into the final month of the regular season.

Lager League: Kolsch Division - Scorched Earth Giant Killer - the Giant Killer had a scorching 19-9 month for August to take an 8 game lead into the final month. A 5th ranked offense in runs scored and 5th ranked defense in runs against is helping power their run for a division crown.

Lager League: Helles Division - Boulder Killer Penguin - penguins can't fly, but the Killer Penguin are flying high atop the Helles division with a 12.5 game cushion. Led by a 2nd ranked home run game, Boulder has 4 players with 23 or more home runs on the year.

Lager League: Tripel Division - Meadowlark Mob Barley - in the tightest division race, Meadowlark holds a slim 2 game lead over Great Raft with one month to go. Powered by a top notch defense (2nd ranked in runs against, FIP, pitching WAR and zone rating), and a solid offense (6th ranked in runs scored and batting average), they hope their balanced attack can carry them far in the post season.

Stout League: Porter Division - Terrapin Hopsecutioner - while they might be overshadowed by Weyerbacher's impressive season so far, Terrapin have put up impressive numbers themselves with the second best record in the Beer League to this point at 90-40.
