His mother is English. He turned us down though as far as international football is concerned.

So now I can repeat what I had to edit out.

Chelsea can't moan about one decision, because they didn't score any goals themselves. And if you don't score, the last time I looked you can't win any games.
They really can't complain about losing because of it, and actually for once Mourinho (like Ferguson the previous night) didn't moan at the official (although he did make reference to it not being a free kick in his opinion).

Imma go ahead and assume these teams were created in the 1800s or early 1900s (though the Czars, WWI, & Communism make me think I may be right) and thus this is an incorrect guess.
Most were created in the early 1900's, if you look at most Eastern European teams they put their town/city name second, alot of European teams don't even have nicknames before or after their name ie Liverpool, Everton, Juventus etc and English teams rarely have nicknames in their names as most use City (City beng what it is City so not really a nickname as such), Athletic, United (Just a guess but I'd say United as something to do with the workers who formed the early teams)

Back to the Russian names most were made up of workers from companies ie Torpedo Moscow were formed from a car company, Lokomotiv Moscow were formed by rail workers, Dynamo Moscow were actually formed by the KGB and CSKA Moscow by the army obviousley these two teams dominated early Russian football, because if you were a good player they either made you play for them or sent you to the labor camps. A prime example was Eduard Streltsov who refused to play for either of them so was sent to a labor camp on trumped up rape charges, Streltsov is said to have been the greatest player who ever played some say if it hadn't been for the labor camp he would be bigger than Pele.

Correct, overall I think United over both games came out on top in dodgy decisions, penalty at Old Trafford should never have been a penalty, they got away with a strong case for a Celtic penalty the other night and got a penalty from a dodgy call again, yes Celtics free kick was a dodgy one but I think they deserved that bit of luck over both games.

That is another thing that annoys me - when pundits or fans say the "referee gave a penalty to them as a make-up call for the one he gave us" (or a red card).
No he did not, and if this was ever true, that referee should be fired, as they have to officiate on what they've seen on the field. They can't just make up the decisions so as to even it up.

Celtic was definitly screwed in the first game. Man U was screwed in the second game. But both teams had the chance to overcome the bad calls and they didnt.

I agree it shouldnt happen but it also happens all the time if american football and basketball as well. Maybe its just human nature to want to make up for a mistake.

SDPM..you will be pleased to know that FM2007 much more realistically models weather. I had few matches played on rainy pitches in FM2006..now many. While its more realistic, it also causes more injuries.

What you have to think of since UEFA changed it to Champions League nobody thinks there was a European Cup history before this, Celtic were the first British club to win the European Cup (Champions League) when they beat Inter in 66/67 they also lost in another final in 69/70 to Feyenoord after extra time, also got to the semi final in 71/72 losing on penalties to Inter, they again reached the semi final in 73/74 when they lost to Athletico Madrid, also throw in a couple of quarter finals.

Also when they won they became the first and up to now the only team to win with a team full of home grown players, I don't think the Celtic team of the late 60's early 70's gets the credit they deserve simply because people look down their noses at Scottish football.
