A sad day for football, Ferenc Puskas has passed away. One of the greatest footballers to ever play the game some say even could be called the greatest, probably in a better place after his medical problems the past few years but still brought a tear to my eye when I read the news as I've just been reading a book about him and just ordered the dvd of the Hungary v England game.

Not to much I think..last game of Champs League group phase is Tues/Wed..wednesdays match is delayed until like 10pm because of the Maui Invitational BB tourney.

That's only a file to unedit the things that were edited in the game for licensing reasons.
You still won't be able to play the J. League without adding all the players (as they aren't even in the database) and then putting it into another league in the game.

You know, Ronaldo, I hate you. The ball was right in front of you. You could have stopped it, and just slightly kick the ball into the net, but instead, you murder it over the crossbar. Nice chokejob. If it wasn't for United beating Sheffield, I would had taken the next plane to Manchester and strangle you.

Looks like not much has been said over the weekend, obviously that shows that soccer just isn't that popular here.

Anyway, as UKHS said Puskas's death is a very sad loss, and his goal scoring record will stand up there with the best of them. Not to mention what he won at club level, but failed to win the biggest prize of all when his favoured Hungary side lost in the 1954 World Cup final to West Germany.

And this may well be my final update on the J. League applicants Rosso Kumamoto, as it seems their hopes of promotion are over.
After spending most of the season in 2nd place, the Kyushu-based side lost again to JEF Club 3-1, falling to 5th place and eight points behind second ranked Sagawa Kyubin Tokyo, with just three games to play.

I had nothing to post. And when I do, I only kill threads with my boring stuff anyway, so there isn't much point to posting very much any more.

Still doesn't explain the lack of posts though.

Without these qualifiers which simply make people feel uncomfortable, you make good posts. Leave out your first and last sentences in the suicide thread and you would have made a very good and substantial contribution.

How bout just posting what you think/believe and letting the cards fall where they will?

Beg, borrow, steal a TV or cable tomorrow, no matter where you live or if your supposed to be working then phone in with a sick day because Celtic v Man Utd as the makings of being a classic. The atmosphere will be nothing like you have ever heard before, 60,000 Celtic fans will start singing 15 minutes before kick off and will not stop till the final whistle blows and if they've won will probably not stop singing until 3-4am in the morning.

Its on ESPN2 here. Celtic were robbed last time round. Should be a great game. Too bad they dont have Thanksgiving in the UK and the 4 day weekend. It would be a great kickoff to a 5 day weekend.

As long as the referee realises that this isn't a European game but a British game then you should be able to see how football is played, hard tackling and passion.

The chances of that happen ing are 0% IMO. The referee will be from Europe sadly and some of the local flavor will be lost.

I'm surprised no-one has commented on the above, but I guess it's another thing of mine that doesn't interest anyone. So I will mention it for the last time with this.
It's sad that Rosso won't be promoted this season - especially as it is possible this could be their only chance. It seems a lot of clubs that have ambitions of reaching the J. League overstretch themselves to try and get that dream, and when they fail fall from grace or go bankrupt. Whilst I don't know whether that is the case with them, their late season fall has the hallmarks of it. But I hope I'm wrong.
