"Our League" Season 4--Who Wants To Play Our Way?

general FYI...


check your tourney teams if you play any specialty slots (Iron only, Bronze only, Silver only, etc)....

had two Live Silver players bump to Gold, so my Silver tourney team was 2 players short

considering we had no access to the add/remove friend column, a pretty solid turnout across the tiers....

-3 teams at Silver, but 2 in one league and 1 in another
-all 9 Bronze teams in the same league
-all 11 Iron teams in the same league
-9 of 10 Stone teams in the same league
-4 of 5 Rookie teams in the same league (seems like Jackson has been missed every season. Wondering if they decided not to join? Can't imagine every team in that tier left them off their friend's list for 5 straight seasons)

Wow. Paxville are in Silver - even though they didn't actually qualify for promotion

This thing about rapidly creating something pointy for the whales to sit at the top of is really annoying.

I just looked up Jackson-they have the OL tag but USToffee has not been on the forum since the day of the request to join.

I suggested once before that all teams in Entry Pool first 3 weeks be divided up into all 7 levels (minus Perfect). Then, starting in week 4, start the promotion/regulation process. That would solve a lot of problems.

Holding my pulled Shane Bieber cards didn't work out too well for the Nowhere Men so they will continue to be a low-budget team & shop in the bargain bin while trying to build from within.

Thanks for the heads up. Knowing how forgetful I am, I went ahead and redid my bronze team, the one I use most, to be all non-live. It's made them a little less competitive, but I just plug them in and rarely look at any of the tourneys, so it fits my laziness and forgetfulness. Will look at the other levels if I decide to branch out.

So far the damage hasn't looked too bad to my tourney teams. I already swapped out Arraez last night, so the my only casualty so far has been Suter from the rotation. I think one of my 2 other teams has Alcantara in the bullpen, so I'll have to fix that as well.

The part I tend to miss, when the season starts, is to set your manager preferences to "With Friends" instead of "Random"

I did last year and I am again in 22. Every little accomplishment just feels a bit more satisfying, and it's the only way I want to play now. It might be a job to keep up with the best OL teams, but that's a good challenge!

If you, or anyone, should start a pack only league - count me in. That would easily be my favorite team.
