Can someone please tell me what dola means? I've seen it so much on these OOTP forums, but never on any other message boards. And for the life of me I can't figure it out.

Check out the OT Glossary. Short version though is there was a guy with the username dola who would always follow up his own posts so it became known as a dola.

Alright Nori!

He's my feel-good story of the year this year. What a great guy.

You've got to admire a guy that turns down all of that money to live out a dream.

And accepts a demotion to AAA. This is what baseball is to me. Last year it was Jose Lima.

I'd just like to take a moment to recognize how lucky all us Dodger fans are to have Vin Scully. Immaculate, great voice...really, he's the perfect anouncer. I honestly consider myself blessed to listen to him.

That is all.

For sure. Every year I'm sorry to see some guys go but it doesn't take me long to get as attached to the new guys to the point where I'm sorry to see them leave in a year or two. And every year there's that one guy who you can't hlp but root for to overcome the odds.

Funny, I was having this internal monologue earlier. Especially since I moved away from LA and hadn't heard him for years until I got MLBTV last year. Vin Scully is baseball and really, I think, the last great announcer. He's been the voice of baseball to me since I was old enough to remember and that was just a fraction of what he's done in his lifetime.

I wish Vinny was my grandpa.

Well said. It's like listening to your grandpa regail you with great stories during a game. I so associate his voice with baseball that it will never be the same once he's gone.

It's Repko! It's not like that was a Luis Gonzalez shot, it's f'n Repko! I bet they didn't even know who he was before the game yet they're willing to rob him of his very first homerun ball.

At least Repko got his ball back.

I like him, I think he's got great potential but watching him late in the last few games is really making me miss Gagne.

The Dbacks finally closed one out. BTW, just heard on the local radio (in AZ) that preliminary reports are it was just a bruise on Lowe and he should be OK by his next start- which is very good news.

Great series, overall, and hopefully a sign of the DBacks atleast being competitive this season. That said, when LA gets Gagne and Penny back, they are going to be a handful for anyone in the NL.
