I'd say that it is doing all of the writing to disk that OOTP6 does. I *REALLY* hope that the option is there not to write box scores.

How did you come up with 50,000? A full 162-game season for 28 teams is 2,268 games. That's 28*162/2.

Incidentally, Markus hasn't given us an answer yet because he's still waiting for the first week of the season to finish processing.

Ah, I see. I suspected I had read something wrong.

Well, that is quite a number of games, isn't it?

I've never used a computer that's that fast, so I can't really make a good hypothesis about the speed.

I would think it would have to be 7 minutes and 7 seconds for OOTP7.

I wish we could have career leaderboards (offense and defense) stats based on position

It was me!!! I knew that you had built the Flux Capacitor into the new version of OOTP... The initials FE was a dead giveaway!

So, Markus, how will you solve the 1.2 gigawatts power problem? Will we all have to upgrade our PC's with a Mr. Fusion energy convertor in one of our open PCI slots? If the Flux Capacitor does allow for instananeous simming, will we also be able to GO BACK and sim past seasons, too? Could we conceivably be able to sim a season in 1897 and go forward to 1997 in the blink of an eye? If one of our fictitious players goes back and meets his ancestor and say they collide at home plate, what would happen?

Man, I've got a jillion questions...
