Hummmm..... speaking of "resets" ...
When the league is Reset, the game should delete all references to what was done previously, including the erasure of player text files etc. Henry |

Kuffrey, do you know whether he is planning on putting wavers in? I would LOVE to see it in OOTP6. Having options years and salary arbitration is really nice and having to put players on wavers would finish the roster rules off nicely.

I know that our desire is to add this type of depth, do I have a timetable? No.

add another vote for turning off free agency but keeping financials. Nothing is quite as odd as signing Babe Ruth as a free agent

If you want to keep with the spirit of the times you should be able to sign players in the 20's to whatever you feel like paying them. Finances would then be used for stadium construction/upkeep, front office staff, minor league overhead, and other things not currently accounted for in the OOTP5 universe. |

Wow, these suggestions pile up way fast when solicited.
My biggest gripe with this, and every version of OOTP is the lack of situational team totals. How does my team hit as a whole hit with RISP, Close and late, against lefties, righties. What is my bullpen ERA...stuff like that. |

Sorry about the bad vacation...next time go to the Amanda-Magenta Plantation, a wonderful bed and breakfast run by Miss Eva on Bayou Terrebonne in Montegut, Louisiana for a nice and restful vacation way,way away from the troubles of the world.
THANKS FOR A TREMENDOUS GAME. AND THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT SUPPORT OF THE GAME. BUT BEFORE YOU ADD ANY BELLS AND WHISTLES...IMPROVE THE GAME BASICS. Please put in all of the BASIC, NORMAL, EVERY DAY plays that are MISSING from the game: no dropped throws...no dropped infield flies...no dropped foul flies ...rf/lf/3b/2b never catch foul flies...2b/ss never have unassisted putouts at second on grounders...or unassisted DPs on line drives ...no steals or hit and run with 2 strikes... can't steal home...catcher DP's only 33% of MLB totals (increase the frequency of if/p to catcher to 1b DPs)...the catcher seems to always have a "cannon" for an arm, but never gets the batter at first... double play after a strikeout by throwing the runner out attempting to steal or hit and run...greatly increase the frequency of runners thrown out at 2b stretching a single to a double (it rarely, if ever happens)...occasionally have someone out stretching a triple to a home run...give more than one extra base on bad throws occasionally...errors on bunt attempts or double play attempts... or lead runner safe on bunt attempts or double play attempts...Liner to pitcher, who doubles a baserunner... I HOPE OTHERS WILL ADD MISSING BASIC PLAYS TO THIS LIST. This should be your top priority. No game should be missing basic plays. I know some of the following may qualify as "bells and whistles", but while I've got your ear: Give home team advantage...80% of major league teams have better home record than road records. Give more variety in play-by-play text and get rid of the dumb phrases like "I don't believe what I just saw"...correct all of the errors in the text ("2b is covering first, throw is high...1b leaps and step on the bag" or "pitch bounces IN FRONT OF THE PLATE, catcher can't come up with it...passed ball by the catcher" (this is a wild pitch). Make "foul balls" optional. Make "arguing with umps" optional. Both are a waste of time for me. Give us a continuous or auto mode, so we can watch the game unfold and get involved when we want to make a substitution or game choice...and not have to hit a key for each batter. THANKS FOR LISTENING TO US. DU BIST EIN GUTER MANN. (forgive me if it is not grammatically correct...it's been 40 years since I studied German in college). Player Tracker doesn't seem to work correctly. At least not for online leagues. It doesn't retain players I've added after I've downloaded and installed the commish's sim file.
Would be nice if Player Tracker would "export" with my team export so it can be downloaded/retained from sim to sim.

I can think of a few small things. Please:
1. Add HBP to the boxscores 2. Calculate OBP correctly everywhere. 3. Allow us to see the 'signings log' after the end of the free agent period, instead of having to go to the reports section. and my eternal request, 4. Allow free-agent signing (of released players) and off-season trading even if financials are off. |

Forgot one: Right now the 'postseason' career stats for a player do not list years where they didn't start any postseason games. So if they only appeared as a pinch-hitter nothing shows up.

On the screen when you first open a league that is in the preseason, put both a free agency button and an amateur draft button. Yes, you can get it from the pull-down menu, but there's room beside the current single button and it'd save time so why not. It might help stop us from automatically going to the amateur draft screen when where we really want to go to is the FA screen.

Is there a way to track a team's pitching staff performance by starters era and bullpen era? I think that this would be interesting.

Take a look at the Tom Tippett rebuttal to the Voros McCracken DIPS theory on diamond-mind.com.
It sheds some interesting light, there are also probably some really interesting discussions on places like FanHome on the topic. |

So all these suggestions will be in the next patch, right?

Welcome Back! Sorry for the bad time.
I would just like to see the gold gloves given out to short season leagues. I play an 84 game season and the defensive awards are never given out. Thanks. |

How about split stats for players who play for multiple teams in one season?

Ability to turn off the "Hooty McBoobity is probably ready for AAA" text. Some of us like the mystery of dealing with the stats.
![]() All my other ideas are more things for OOTP6, so I won't bombard you with them now, just that thing I thought might be easy to change. Oh ya, and arbitration through the players 6th year, not 5th. It's 6 in the majors, so I'm wondering where 5 came from. |
