Well, that's cool.

the only way to nip it in the butt was the change the increment of independent variable.. instead of per plate appearance it should be per pitch calculations.

with a bit more resolution, you could more easily isolate behaviours that won't have collateral impact on 'normal' play and only stop the exploit.

The game still sims on a per PA basis; the devs didn’t explain what they did to fix that exploit but I suspect it has to do with some combination of having pitchers throw more strikes when you take a lot and providing a malus when a strategy causes there to be 1 or 2 strikes in the count.

a thought to OP -- buy it when reduced in price. Form a habit of not starting your baseball gaming until the ASG. Not only do you skip the debugging process, you get it at a discount that makes yearly purchasing less of a burden, each to their own on that cause it's nobody's f'n business if it isn't 'cheap' for them.

I do it to avoid the debugging. sometimes i dip a toe in early. I am happier doing it this way. it is possible

The economics of this world are a f'n dumpster fire, bwahaha... most ppl struggle, so don't be a pompous dick about it. (not for the OP, but any responses alluding to degradating someone just for watching their money in a world with a needless pyramidal structure with great excess for a few and the better ppl struggle to get by.. the ppl that do all of the work as opposed to daytime drinking and jetsetting around world)

I’ve been a customer for almost 20 years and have always purchased the game whenever it’s release is announced.

However, going forward, I may hold off purchasing the game when it’s first released. Even though I have OOTP23, I’m holding off playing the game right now until the MacOS facegen issues are resolved. Also, there are still patches being released.

Next year, I may wait until the ASG before purchasing OOTP.
