Integrating custom fonts caused a lot of headaches with the diagonal text. I think it's fixed now.

For those who are interested, the reason only the diagonal text was affected was that there are two ways I am processing the text effects. Some of the effects are handled natively by the HTML canvas so those are easy-peasy. Some of them require a php script interfacing with ImageMagick running on the server - those are the ones that show the "spinner" animation when you use them.

In most of the ImageMagick cases, I send the "text" canvas element as an image to the php script (and, therefore to ImageMagick) which performs the transformation and sends the resulting image back to the page. The diagonal text works differently because I have to create it from scratch in ImageMagick. For that to work, ImageMagick needs to know which font to use and that's where things were breaking down; there is a key -> value array on the main page I was using to look up the font's path which I could pass to ImageMagick and a number of the keys weren't working due to the inconsistent naming I was using for the font families when I first created the app. Adding all the possible family name variations to the array seems to have fixed the issue without affecting anything else.

This doesn't affect the desktop version in the same way because I handle things a bit differently there - no php script, no problem.

First of all, let me say how much I enjoy this tool to create my own jerseys...but I am consistently running into issues.

For the first time or two, it works perfectly. Then for some reason when I go back in, it freezes up. I can instantly tell because the graphics are skewed/off and it will not let me click on any boxes to make changes (to add body or arm stripes for example).

My screenshot is what it looks like upon startup...you will notice that the layers (stitching) are off...this is my first indicator that the program will no longer work for me. Then I cannot click on or off any boxes (i.e., stripes or to change the collar colors).

I have changed computers, I have cleared my cache, I have disabled my malware, and made sure the adblocker was off. I have used both Chrome and Edge, each worked for a short period of time (2x, maybe 3x) then no longer. Nothing continues to work. Any suggestions, so I can continue to create jerseys with this wonderful (when it works correctly) program?

Zero idea why that's happening, I've never seen it do that before.

A couple of options:

1) You say you've tried Edge and Chrome, and those both use the same rendering engine (Edge is actually based on Chrome). Maybe try Firefox?

2) There is a desktop version you can try, that works independently of your web browser: https://github.com/eriqjaffe/FHM-Swe...ctory/releases

This may be a dumb question, but in the app version how do I upload an existing sweater (partial save)? Under the File menu there is only an option to Exit.

Edit : Can't see how to do it in browser version either...

I am now convinced that the author's lack of response to the blatant need to implement Malcom Jamal-Warner style* sweaters is due to a lack of coding ability and not the fact that he considers my response to have been a joke.

*I will accede to no longer referring to them as Cosby sweaters but they are a STAPLE

As it happens, you've managed to uncover a couple of bugs! The "upload custom layer" button wasn't doing anything and I have that fixed, but now when you try to save the jersey the custom layer disappears. So...um...no, not yet.

Well, the custom layer has me stumped. I'll keep plugging away at it on my dev system but I've disabled it on the site for the time being. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

• Fixes an issue with running multiple apps (Sweater Factory, Jersey Maker, etc.) simultaneously.
• Fixes the Windows installer, which was getting very confused about where to install things if you had more than one of the apps installed.
• Removes the "Custom Layer" option, which is not working properly.
• Removes the "Upload to Imgur" button, which is not working properly.

I noticed that many of the vintage teams had jerseys that consisted of full body stripes, with matching sleeves. Is it possible to add that as an option, perhaps a repeating 2-stripe option, and a repeating 3-stripe one?

Sorry, I missed this. There is no way of doing that, unfortunately. I had experimented with it with the OOTP jersey & cap makers but could never get it to work properly.

Very minor thing I noticed recently and I'm not sure if it's just a Google Chrome thing. When saving sweaters for teams with three or more words in their name (i.e. New York Islanders or Columbus Blue Jackets), the file name has a space between the second and third word instead of an underscore. It's an easy fix but frustrating when you don't know it exists and you can't figure out why your jerseys aren't working in game.

For anyone who's used sweater factory before, what's the best way, if there is one, to make stripes down the entire sleeve? Example, the Winnipeg Jets road jersey.

I have a couple of jersey mods questions, not specific to Sweater Factory directly.

1) Is there a tool or application where you can test/view the finished jersey? I know the obvious answer is to try it in FHM , but that only displays about the top third of the jersey even at maximum zoom.

2) Is there a quick way to reverse colours on a finished jersey? e.g. change all blue to red without having to start from scratch. Paint fill tools destroy the jersey texture. Is there some way to adjust underlying hex codes for example.

It took me a while, but I finally figured out (or so I think) what was causing the "shifting" of the graphics, as I wrote in my posting of 1/11. Seems if you have the browser zoom set at anything other than 100%, a skew (or shift) of the graphics occurs. Once I changed the zoom to the original 100%, everything returned to normal.

Hey Eriq, curious if this utility https://www.ootputilities.com/sweaterfactory/ is functional any longer. It's a great tool though I know you've been transitioning to using desktop applications rather than browser based. Can't seem to use it at all any longer, though you're presumably the one still hosting it. No buttons work and I can't edit anything although the page still loads.

Edit: The fix that others have stated related to zoom levels is not working at all for me on Mac. I'm at 100% browser zoom but the utility does not work for me at all. I have the skewed graphics and am unable to click any boxes or make any changes. Tried safari, chrome, Firefox, and opera.
