Cy Young was named the NL Player of the Week! Young did not give up an earned run over 18 innings while striking out 9.

Francisco Torres, Portland, won the award for his A league.

Mike Donlin of the Highlanders won for the AL.

Brooklyn rose to #8 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Otto Hess, one of the Brooklyn rotation last year for their World Series run, has been playing in AAA Vandercook Lake.

It turns out his elbow is in a bad way and is expected to miss the next year.

This was the greatest pitching performance I have ever seen!

Cy Young walked no batters and didn't allow a hit until the ELEVENTH INNING! He lost the no-hit bid only to have his team win on a passed ball in the bottom frame. (It wasn't perfect game bid because two Pirates had reached on error.)

1-0 Brooklyn over Pittsburgh. Wow.

WP - Cy Young (5-3)
LP - Jesse Tannehill (5-3)

Record - 15-15
