The first time Nick Bucci was given a fill-in start, he pitched pretty well. This time things didn't go so great, as the Jays fell to the A's 9-6.

Brett Lawrie got his 9th and 10th homers of the year, as he passed Jose Bautista for the league lead. Lou Marson got his first of the season (in his first start).

WP - Ubaldo Jimenez (2-2)
Save - Sean Doolittle (6)
LP - Nick Bucci (0-2)

Record - 10-14

Between Jose Bautista and Jose Reyes it was the Jays' big bats that won the day, beating Oakland 7-4! Bautista went 3 for 4 with a league lead tying 10th homer and 3 RBI but it was Reyes' 8th inning 3-run blast that did the trick. Tyler Moore also got his first.

WP - Mark Montgomery (1-0)
Save - Rex Brothers (6)
LP - Pat Neshek (0-2)

Record - 11-14

Colby Lewis brought his A-game as the Jays downed the A's 4-1. Lewis allowed only five hits, including the solo bomb that chased him in the 9th while striking out four.

Tyler Moore got his 2nd homer in his 3 hits this season.

WP - Colby Lewis (4-1)
Save - Rex Brothers (7)
LP - Brent Anderson (4-2)

I had a serious computer crash and have had to buy a new system.

The data is recoverable and the Jays will be back swinging soon.

The Jays' bats were alive and when Tanner Scheppers faltered a bit in the 9th, Rex Brothers came in and mowed down two batters and picked off a third as the Jays beat the Red Sox for the first time this year, by a score of 7-3.

WP - Ivan Nova (2-3)
Save - Rex Brothers (8)
LP - John Danks (2-4)

The Red Sox got out to a 5-0 lead but the Jays kept scratching away right up until Brett Lawrie tied the game with his league-leading 11th homer with 2 out in the 9th. In the 10th Eric Hosmer scored on a Matt Joyce sac fly to give Toronto the 6-5 win.

WP - Aaron Crow (2-2)

Danny Salazar's major league debut showed promise as he went 8 innings, giving up 3 runs on 9 hits, striking out 6. However, Neftali Feliz was just better as the Rangers beat the Blue Jays 3-1.

WP - Neftali Feliz (6-1)
Save - Joe Nathan (3)
LP - Danny Salazar (0-1)

Bruce Rondon's major league debut was less than memorable as he got tagged for 5 runs including a grand slam by Adam Lind in less than an inning. The Jays provided some power of their own, including two homers by Tyler Moore and one each for Ryan Goins and Jesus Montero.

9-7 Rangers

WP - Cory Burns (2-0)
Save - Joe Ortiz (1)
LP - Bruce Rondon (0-1)

Record - 14-18

The Toronto bats did the job, pounding Chicago pitching as the Jays beat the White Sox 9-2. Steve Delabar made an impressive season debut as he pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.

Jose Bautista went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI.

WP - Ivan Nova (3-3)
Save - Steve Delabar (1)
LP - Jose Quintana (2-1)

Record - 15-18

It should be noted that Brett Lawrie leads all 3 triple crown categories, with Jose Bautista in second in two of them (HR and RBI).

That isn't even just for the AL but all of MLB.
