ya. that's what I do now. and totally valid work around. just saying if I can avoid horrible talent in the FA pool, that would be ideal.

Might be something small or perhaps something I have missed all together but I'd really like to see LCS MVP and WS MVP added as game generated awards (or player designated awards if we choose to do it manually for online leagues).

To go with that, I'd also like to see player's stats split in the playoffs by round to go along with a Playoff total.

Again unless I have missed that I have never seen that added and typically just try to look through the Last Week area of the stats to get an idea what a player did in a playoff series.

Lastly, I'd like to see some All Star Break love. Can start this by adding an All Star MVP and perhaps in the future also the Home Run Derby.

I second the WS/LCS MVP as well as the All Star MVP and Home Run Derby. The derby would be a really, REALLY cool addition to the game!

Need to bring back players coming out of retirement like OOTP 6.5. Loved that feature back then and it would be nice to see it make a return to the game.

Giancarlo Stanton's career was cut short in my first season and it would be nice to see him or any other guys career cut short try to make a come back again just like OOTP 6.5.

Just a thought

Roster expansion bug

There is still a rather serious bug that occurs with the Roster Expansion during the season, which is related to an illegal number of players on minor league teams (mostly rookie league it seems).

Regrettably, I had to stop and save my game during the first game of the expanded roster part of the schedule. I received a message about it, and then started to play, and the game crashed. And now I can’t even access the League-setup to do the “work-around” (allow for ghost players), so I’m in a real bind. The game crashes every time I try to play past this day.
Per this bug, I used the historical start, with natural league development, full minor league system (that has fictional players.)
Prior to this, I posted in the tech-support folder and also opened-up a ticket, so I guess I thought this was fixed in the last patch.

FaceGen angle setting to work on the profile picture. "From the right" and "From the left" only has their eyes moving currently.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately and it would be nice to have. I'd also like the option to try to entice the player out of retirement. Not every player should come back when asked, but it would be a nice feature to have.

It would be awesome if I could set minor league rotation sizes to 6 men, major league rotations to 5 men, and then have the minor league rotation sizes stay at 6 rather than snap back to 5 every new year. (This happens even when auto adjust strategy is off...)

One man, Jim Gindin. Awful? That is the greatest football text sim ever made and I still play it to this day. I wish he was like Markus though and would come out with a new version every year.

It's horrendously user-unfriendly in my opinion. You have to do everything the game's way, it's not very fluid to go through menus, and, the main gripe for me, the game doesn't give you any sort of assistance with the draft. You see a player who is draft eligible and you have absolutely no idea if the AI sees this guy as the 1st overall pick or a 5th rounder, which you absolutely need for a football game in my opinion.

One of my biggest peeves with the game;

when i go to the pitching roster area, i would like the players listed to default to pitchers

Depth Chart

Marcus,

Is there anyway you can split having your manager run both the lineup and depth chart if you are going to be in GM mode only. I like to have my say on the depth chart but like that the manager plays everyone. When I am manager I can't seem to play everyone when I sim the game. Hope this makes sense.

I don't understand. When I go to pitching, I see pitchers (and occasionally position players with good pitching ratings at the bottom, under all the normal pitchers). When I go to lineups, I see only position players.

Did you maybe change a view or something and just need to clear it so the game goes back to its default?

- A feature where the All-Star teams in League associations play each other in a tournament.

(Although I see this as a new feature in OOTP 14, rather than something in a patch)

- A "master switch" in the game options that lets you set "who does what" for in-game strategy by default.

For example, say you want the AI to handle defensive strategy and you handle the rest - like subs, offensive strategy, pitching. Rather than have to set this every time you start a game, you chose these settings in manager options and it stays like this for every game. Hope I'm clear on this.

- a quick select for the BNN game screen that lets you toggle off/on pbp detail, sound, etc.

So that, rather than have to switch all the way back to game options to change these settings, you can just select this in the BNN game screen as you play. For example, when I play out my games, I play in short pbp and one pitch mode. Sometimes, in a close game in the later innings, I like to switch on detailed pbp to increase the drama, excitement and strategy. Rather than go all the way back to the game options screen, I can do it in the BNN in-game screen.

- A volume control for in-game sounds?

I like the sound scape of OOTP, but it's VERY loud at medium master level and over powers any other app I have running. (I'm an OSX user)

- and many of us would still LOVE TO SEE a MASS SELECT/DELETE for available personal!!! Still waiting on that!!! Wolf, are ya with me?

These are all my suggestions. Are these huge things? No way, but it'd be a nice touch! I have no clue how doable as far as coding it.

Oh, BTW, one more thing: To borrow something from SOM. When I would make a pitching sub in that game with my team, the opposing teams batting order was displayed so I could see who was up, on deck, etc. This was very helpful with situational pitching changes. In ootp, to see who's coming up for the other team, you have to switch to the other teams substitution tab. Be nice if I could see the opposing teams lineup with my bullpen and my available pitchers...

Click twice. Been doing that since v5.

You can unretire any player you wish. From 150 yr old Babe Ruth to Daryl Kile to a CEI of "Mike" Stanton.

Feature - Lock market size

Bug fix - when clicking into the pitching screen, have the pitching stats show. Whatever you last viewed is always displayed, so more times than not you need to reset the stats every time you look at the pitching staff (or vice versa for the lineup screen)
