How exactly was player development modified? I don't beleive I'm playing with the defaults anymore.

So here I sit wanting to play OOTP9 but after the patch the game will not even load. I know there are a few of us that would love to try the new features but at this point it is futile. Would love to at least have someone notify us that they are working on fixing this problem. At least I can get the game to load after reinstalling 9.1.6. If we know that it is being looked at I will wait till it is fixed and then try the updated version

targy, I can't speak officially, but I'm certain that if it's not in front of Markus right now, it will be shortly. He's generally pretty prompt about addressing major issues, and crashes immediately fall into that category. So, I think, it goes without saying (well, obviously not, I'm saying it) that the problem will be at the forefront of Markus' concerns soon, probably before morning States time as he's generally on overnight, if he hasn't been already. Hang in there, I know it's frustrating. It hasn't been that long I was there myself.

I'm sure the communication's in progress, but I'll send another note along just to know I've done what little part I can. It's posted in Tech Support along with a couple of other threads, so attention is not too far away.

I can't seem to finish the download, it always stops at 37 percent at 81.7mb of the 220mb file. Anybody with any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks.

There've been a couple reports of problems downloading to completion. I even had a problem my first go around, not getting all of the file, but the download said completed. Everybody's connections will be different.

If I were experiencing your problem, I'd either download and install a download manager or you may try stopping your download short of the point where you know it's been locking up. Generally, your Windows system will start the download where it left off, and usually at a much quicker pace until it slows down to your average download speed. I'm no byte-guru, but one would think that little speed hiccup might be enough boost to get you by that hurdle.

There's not enough numbers reported corruptions or inability to download, so I'm left to believe you just have to be patient and try, try again, if that's what it takes. If anyone else has any ideas, throw them out there. Otherwise, let me know if there's any other way I can help.

I understand the chances are slim. Then again, I can't express the odds mathematically. I bet he could, though.

That's definitely a shame about RonCo, not so much for an update to his player development settings but because he was a very positive contributor here all around. I'm not sure what happened to drive him away, but I definitely hope it can be resolved and fences can be mended. The community is better of with RonCo than without him.

He was frustrated with the default player-development model. Now that it's tweaked, maybe the healing could begin.

OK, this sucks. Anyway, one of our beta testers has the same issue, and we'll work with him to get this resolved ASAP. It seems to be very rare and somewhat related to the graphics, so maybe you could try to upgrade your video card drivers in the meantime.
